Who do we want to sign for next season?

Hamer, Morrison, Dervite, Wood, Poyet, Sordell + 1 x LM, 2 x RM, 2 x CM, 1 x CB and 2 x ST (Obika + 1) + Hughesy (player coaching role)
These added to Solly, Wilson, Wiggins, Fox, Cousins, Jackson, Harriott, Reza, Piotr, Church will see us OK next season. Back was pretty solid, focus on attacking and creating options IMHO.0 -
I wonder if there are any liege players on the fringe that we could give a go? :-)0
-
Strikers who score goals, midfielders who create goals and defenders who stop goals. A bit vague but to the point :-)2

Alright just sign them all then.covered end junior said:
Burke is one of the best midfielders in this league imo, and Jutkiewicz has done very well at Bolton on loan this year and will probably be available on the cheap from Boro, he's still only 25 as well so no reason for him to be losing his hunger.dizzee said:
A few of them yes.covered end junior said:
Who were you expecting Messi?dizzee said:
No thankscovered end junior said:Riga
Mathieu Baudry
Astrit
Alex Pritchard
Chris Burke
Tom Cairney
Stefan Scougall
Callum Wilson
Kieran Agard
Lukas Jutkiewicz
Everyone on that list would be an improvement on what we have.
But not players who are on decent salaries and may be losing their hunger soon I.e Chris Burke and jutzizihdhem0 -
I'd like to see Harry Arter0

Definitely agree with Brit Assombalonga, seems to be in the right place right time?!
Shouldn't cost to much, I would think he would relish the chance to play for CAFC, if that goes pear shaped he can always move to our feeder club and play in the 'champions league'!!!
Come on Roland you know it makes sense!

anyone think sam winell can score goals at this level?? worth a punt I reckon. also Stuart nelson the pikes gk seen him play a couple time this season and he looks incredible! I think he could easly replace hamer as num 1 if not sub1
-
I'd like him aswell but apparently paid close to a million last summer so probably quite doubtful.charliewright1 said:Definitely agree with Brit Assombalonga, seems to be in the right place right time?!

Peterborough paid about 1.2m for him last year so Assombolonga won't come cheap.0

When we sell Cousins we'll be able to buy 5 Assombolongas, sadly Poyet will go for a pittance if what you read on here is true :-0LargeAddick said:Peterborough paid about 1.2m for him last year so Assombolonga won't come cheap.

Prefer poyet Instead of Parker.DA7 said:

Really don't want Parker back. Left like a brat. Ruined our best ever season. Wouldn't want him coming back to end his career like some sort of charlton hero.5 -
Cousins won't go. His not not good enough yet to go.RedChaser said:LargeAddick said:Peterborough paid about 1.2m for him last year so Assombolonga won't come cheap.

Can we afford him? Will they expect the same sort of money they received for Dwight Gayle?charliewright1 said:Definitely agree with Brit Assombalonga, seems to be in the right place right time?!

do we really think Roland is going to put his hands in his pocket,i have mixed feelings about that, prove me wrong please1

bobby Zamora's out of contract in the summer worth a look??10

Odubajo would be good but would cost. Very highly rated0

I guess actions speak louder than words but RD was rumoured to be more than willing to spend a bit of money on reinforcements this season, just wasn't able to agree terms with players.doronron said:do we really think Roland is going to put his hands in his pocket,i have mixed feelings about that, prove me wrong please
We'll see but I'm confident that next season will at least be an improvement on the one that has just passed, quietly confident that if we get the right bodies in we could surprise a few teams as well.0 -

I reckon we'll sign some players from Europe who have a decent reputation. Roland is on football manager now scouting them out.1
-
Thuram
Bramble, Llera, Doherty, Seaborne
Green, McOxo, Racon, Reid
Heskey, Church
Premier League here we come!6 -
Id like to see us sign Rickie Lambert.. Getting a bit old now might fancy a drop down to the Championship?
That Sako from wolves looks a bit handy.9 -
Probably want over 30k and considering you are lucky to get over 10 games from him far to expensiveTomtomcafc said:bobby Zamora's out of contract in the summer worth a look??

Seriously, what did we see from him this season, nothing IMO looked great last season, but poor since he has been back not surprised it never worked out for him at Brighton and in all honesty I dont want to see him back, apart from his song he wont be missed.Pavo said:Hamer, Morrison, Dervite, Wood, Poyet, Sordell + 1 x LM, 2 x RM, 2 x CM, 1 x CB and 2 x ST (Obika + 1) + Hughesy (player coaching role)

I wouldn't bother with Obika again. I wouldn't mind keeping Sordell if he were to keep his latter end to the season form and was really cheap. But we lose Obika and Sordell now and that leaves Church, Reza, Piggott and PP. Unless Reza and PP come back next season ready for this league we are in trouble again. I honestly don't know who we could afford to bring in and may have to bow to our European links for scouting unknown talent unless RD has a decent transfer kitty available.
And as much as i like AA as his passing and creativity are excellent, his poor stamina worries me for someone who is only 24. People were saying he is not match fit, but he played more games than a pre-season and still couldn't get fit. thats a worry. If he could last 90 minutes i'd sign him up in a heartbeat.
Defensively we are fine (and i class Cousins and Poyet in that area). We just need attacking players. Maybe one more CB to replace Wood and Cort (as much as i like him he has injuries and we need a long term replacement).
Lets get a manager then let him and the owners (as they have to pay the fees) decide who to bring in.
Although i do find this thread fun :-)

We will only be signing players that represent value, potential and re sale value. Falling prem stars do not fit that bill.4

Wonder if we could try and get Kyle Bartley?3
