A few of us went to see Albion play a "Hearts 11" at Albions ground back in the summer of 91 when Charlton were on tour up there.
We were waiting for the match to start and wanted some kind of souvenir of our visit so we asked a fella in the stand if they had any kind of club shop . he said no but he could grab us some pennants if we wanted. When he arrived back we paid him for the stuff and asked him if ran the souvenir shop he said "no , I'm the club owner!"
The strangest thing was that there were very few people there in a ground which made Welling look like Wembley and we realised this was because the ground is overlooked by a large council estate on a hill and about a hundred of the residents were sat outside their houses in deck chairs watching the match for free.

Their situation is very similar to Welling, lack of local support, no help from local council, dilapidated ground etc etc.
