For all us Hendrix fans out there, this looks a little worrying.
Even Kathy Etchingham says it didn't happen.
Also no Hendrix music in the film.....

I would be very interested in a Hendrix film based on the man but not if it destroys or harms his name.
Truth is, he did like a drink and was prone to minor violence of lashing out when drunk, by nowhere near that kind of garbage of beating his woman up to the floor.
The whole Hendrix estate is a bit of a let down, there are reels of material that could be released such as the Albert hall concert, and Devonshire downs, but despite hearing warm words from the estate it never actually 'happens'. Been a fan of the music since he was around, and spoken to most of the key players that Jimi used, including Mitch and Noel, sadly no longer with us. Jimi had several girlfriends, and was sadly exploited. I have no reason to think that Kathy would do anything to tarnish jimi's name, quite the opposite.
Like a lot of musicians, Jimi wanted to create, and was advised badly. He is not the first, and will not be unique in that. His records have earned million's, yet the musician's including Buddy and Noel received none, or very little of it?. His step sister controls the estate, who he hardly knew. His brother Leon fell out with the estate years ago. Personally I think it is all very sad. Jimi would want his music to be heard, played and enjoyed. He was searching for answers in his music, and frankly the money was of little significance as he could in the word's of Chas... ' Jimi invented ways of spending money'... but it was his money?.... not some trumped up management company formed in the Bahama's, or his dubious 'manager'.
Jimi was not a saint, and lived life to the full, and his love of woman... well, may have led him to dubious behaviour, especially in today's moral climate. He was facing paternity allegations before his death, and according to 'rumour'... and a lot of Hendrix 'fact' is based on that, I am unsure what some of the reality/facts were?. I know he hit a couple of fan's on tour, but then they may well have been bugging him.... not that that is a justification. As interesting as the man was, his music is the important thing, it would I am sure that would be what he would want. Apparently in Seattle they have had more litigation about jimi, than any one else in the entire 'state'.
Personally, I just love the man's music, he is probably just laughing at all the nonsense about his reputation...
First tour in the UK I think. 4th January 1967.
