Lots of talk no action lets see shall we go a feeling you will be left red faced at the end of the season with some of these comments
I'm not expecting promotion because all of this has come late on and Stuart Gray has to prove himself, however If he is allowed 10 million quid just for transfers excluding wages then I very much doubt we'll be near the bottom three, unless things go drastically wrong.
Has your new owner said 10 million or is it someone pretending to be ITK

Nothing like hedging your bets lol It'll all go right unless it goes wrong! Tell you what, a tenner says that out of you lot, us and Huddersfield (who all came up together) we will finish highest. People on here know that I talk up our direction after the takeover but I think we might finish 10th - 14th

Hope for the best, expect the worst, OP
Things are looking up bobby boy.
Looking up indeed.
As the great Oscar Wilde said - 'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars'.
May I ask why you are so confident of, first of all finishing above us, and having a half decent season next year?
To be honest we don't know. We could bomb and go down, or have such a refreshing amount of newness and class we walk the league, and I'm being serious. We could escape in a relegation dogfight, or make the playoffs, of go on long winning and then long losing runs, we could bump around mid-table, we simply don't know the qualities of the whole new set up being established here. Anybody confidently predicting anything for Charlton before the first few matches is guessing.
Tell you what chaps, seeing as you need a striker or two, I'll ask our owner to sign Cog, then loan him out to you lot for the season, I can't see you going down with Cog in your side, hope this replaces any bet worries.
Here's a few reasons why I'm confident that my tenner is safe: 1) After 6 months our new owner is familiar with the club and the Championship. He has made his choice of manager whereas you are saying your guy has to prove himself. By definition we are 6 months ahead of you on the curve.
2) Like yourselves(I think) we have just released many players who helped us get out of League 1 and then stay up. Our first two signings this summer are rumoured to be worth in excess of €5m between them. c.4 more players are being approached. So maybe we add £7-8m of value to our squad? Unlike yourselves this process is already in train and targets identified.
3) Like Watford we enjoy a link with a successful club in Europe and thus we enjoy access to a pan European scouting network as well as players moving between network clubs without agents hiking contracts or stalling things / creating auctions. Thank you for your kind offer re. COG but not really required given that our owner deals with the likes of Batshuayi who he has just sold to Marseille for €6M
4) We finished the season with 16 games gaining 24 points ~ mid-table form. A handful of the key players from that run have elected not to sign up but we are looking for replacements right now. Most of the players are in long term contracts or just signed extensions - As well as new signings, our six Academy first teamers will be a year older and that makes a big difference in strength and experience to a teenager / player in their early 20s.
5) We have several million "spare capacity" on FFP and the owner has his chequebook out - this will really make a difference especially in the January window when the going gets tough. The owner is decisive, if a tad ruthless - he won't land every transfer target but he will land a fair few.
So that's my case for optimism. The bookies disagree and many on here are worried because today we don't have a complete squad. Some think we need four more players and others maybe six or eight. I'd go with four more decent quality signings and I believe the club will secure them. We won't know for sure until end September how this newly rebuilt squad plays but right now we have a younger, better squad than we did before with announcements every week of player signings.

With COG on our side? No way - I was taught and brought up the laws to abide about excessive loan players.
So monsieur Pig how about that tenner or are you just happy pushing the lol button? Or are you waiting for me to give you odds once our new signings arrive for training next week? Someone posted on here that there are a couple more signings coming in next week - just waiting for accommodation to be sorted - takes a bit longer down here!

Come on piggy, put your money where your snout is.

Get your mothballed wallet out and put an Ayrton on the line.
Unlike any other football club, all bets on here are paid in full and mostly used to raise money for good causes.
Of course if you havent got that kind of dosh to hand, we are gracious enough to take your house instead.
Though the average sheffield abode wouldnt quite cover it
Interesting....
10 million euros ! Pah. A trifling sum to the massives.
