Football League clubs reject proposal by the FA for Premier League B teams to play in lower divisions

GOOD.

  • Great news, what a poor idea. Dyke is a absolute joke of a man.
  • I would have thought before making these proposals he would have consulted the league clubs. Egg on face time for Dyke.
  • I was with Chris Parkes after the conference yesterday, Dyke got fairly short shrift at the conference, and the B teams in the JPT idea got vetoed as well.
  • Good news indeed.
  • Why do I see the Premier League holding the rest of English Football to ransom again to ensure this happens

(i.e. Similar to how they managed to push through the ruling that they can take kids from Football League clubs for peanuts)
  • It's up to the FL to tell them to get knotted. If they had the backbone to do that back when the PL was first mooted we wouldn't have the problem now.

No disrespect intended to Chris but are Clubs not normally represented by their Chief Exec?

  • Most interesting thing that came out was the start of a change in rule over artificial pitches, will see them in League 1 and 2 within 2 seasons, after the Championship turned down its objections

Katriene (Sp?) was there too. Chris represents our club every year.
