Into Sport Coordinator
Contract: One year, renewable subject to funding
Hours: Part Time (21 hrs. per week)
Salary: £20,000 pro-rata

We are a user-led voluntary sector organisation offering support, advice and practical help to disabled members of the community. We are seeking a dynamic, experienced and committed individual with proven capability to deliver our exciting new “Into Sport” project.
Preference will be given to applicants with lived experience of disability.
“Into Sport” is one of 44 projects across England that will benefit from £8.06 million of National Lottery investment from Sport England to open up more opportunities for disabled people to play sport.
“Into Sport” is a partnership between Inclusion London, Interactive, and five user-led disabled people’s organisations across London, including GAD. The project will tackle barriers disabled people face in accessing sport, and support disabled people to view sport and physical activity as a relevant lifestyle choice.
Focusing your passion and energy, you will inspire local disabled people to take up sport and physical activity, and motivate them to make life long changes in their approach to physical activity that will be maintained throughout their lives. In addition, you will build links with the local community to raise the profile of our project and improve access to sporting activities.
Innovative and flexible, you will have outstanding communication and people skills with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders, raising the public profile of the project within our community and beyond.
A commitment to the equal rights of disabled people is essential, as well as a passion for and empathy with our work.
