Absolutely terrible goalkeeping. Suspiciously bad in fact. I'd expect Thuram to save those two long range efforts and once he got to the penalty there is no way it should have got through his hands.

The game, not a pen, no reason the Croatia second goal should be chalked off, Croatia keeper went down like a sack of spuds. On that performance Brasil won't go very far.

Definitely poor Thuram like positioning and feet movement like they were chained together like a convict.
Fred is so bad that the only thing he actually did in 90 minutes was cheat for a penalty.
His arm was pulled as he tried to turn. Wouldn't call that cheating. Just a soft penalty. Was unlucky with a head on from a corner. Otherwise had no service.

Fred please log off Charlton life and enjoy the win. The referee is waiting with the champagne in his changing room.
It is sad that a country can rejoice at winning a game through cheating. And even sadder that country is one of the great football nations. Scholari claiming everything and asking for bookings depressed me. The ground they played in will be the home of Corinthians. A club with links to the original Corinthians which was all about fair play. I couldn't escape the irony. Of course, not all of the country did rejoice and the tournament has got off to a disapointing start. Only in this crazy 21st century could all the profits go to Blatter and his gang and the costs be stolen from the Brazillian poor.
Still not as bad as Qatar, where thousands of slaves will die building the stadia.
Oh well, might get my enthusiasm back when England beat Italy - which I think they will.
I remember getting the Brazil Subbuteo football team as a boy and went to bed and to sleep staring at the players in the box. There was something magical about Brazil. Just like any other team now except they cheat a bit more! I'd rather lose than cheat myself.
Well this morning, I think I have to concede that the Croatian keeper should have done better, although it's a bit tough suggesting any keeper "should" save a penalty, especially when Neymar is taking it.
But that penalty, bloody hell. Anybody hear Graham Poll this morning? He said that before the pen the ref had done pretty well, which I agree with. But as he said, that makes his decision all the more surprising. He said he couldn't see anything that would even give the ref the suspicion that it was a penalty. It makes you wonder. The Croatian players are also reporting that the ref didnt appear to speak English. I would have thought that would be mandatory at this level.
I'm still in two minds about Neymar's yellow too. I agree it was a slap rather than full on elbow, but the cameras do show Neymar eyeing the defender before rasing his arm. He knew what hew as doing. But of course the ref doesn't have the advantage of that video replay. I'm one of those who believe he, or the fourth official, must have access to such video assistance.
Well I'm now full on anti-Brazil. Never liked Scolari anyway.
I thought Oscar was immense last night. It gives me the right *****ache that Neymar got man of the match. He should have been sent off, he gave the ball away more than anyone and he nearly had his penalty saved (Yes I have got Oscar in my dream team and you do get points for star man!!!)
It's typical of the media; Brazil and Neymar have been hyped so everything they do gets blown out of all proportion. Brazil were average at best in the first half and Neymar's goal was scuffed. If Croatia had scored that then it would have been lucky but because it's Neymar it "shows what he can do". Nonsense.
I agree and think the eyeing gave his intentions away - but can't blame the ref for that if he didn't see it. In itself it looked a yellow. Breaks my heart to see Brazil - Brazil play like that! Classless
He looks across - sees someone coming in to challenge him so instinctively raises arm for protection. I dont think he looks across to see if he can twat the bloke.

The ref bottled it.
Good to see the Brazilians are stoning Adrian Chiles already .
How irritating is that bloke ?

But bear in mind Spain lost their first match at the last World Cup.

Not sure I agree with all this stuff aimed at the Croatian keeper either.
This game has left a sour taste all round. That Brazil is a shadow of past teams and I hope they fail.
