    I thought it was just the commentator being an idiot, didn't realise it was FIFA mandated.

    Does anyone else watch Italian football and think the commentators pretence that Gervinho has been good this year is laughable ?

    Yes, watched quite a bit of Roma, has been quality.
    Not half as laughable as your comments about Japan bossing this game.

    Cote d'Ivoire is the country's name in all languages.

    No one complains when commentators do the same for Costa Rica.

    Gervinho was good pre-Arsenal as well. Maybe it just didn't work out for him there.
