Actor Francis Matthews, probably best known as the voice of Captain Scarlet has passed away aged 86.

    Captain Scarlet was my favourite Gerry Anderson show - the fact that civilization could be threatened by smoke rings probably led to modern tobacco legislation. Or not.

    I loved them all but Captain Scarlet was my favourite also. RIP.
