Things were pretty bleak for kid's TV in the '50s but when ITV started in '55/56 they brought in loads of stuff from the US, especially western series. The last lot above all came from Lew Grade's ATV company and were almost interchangeable : they just wore different costumes. But they were popular and also produced a number of future stars such as Roger Moore, Robert Shaw, Robert Hardy, and Paul Eddington.
