  • This link is very useful to give you an idea of what you can cover in so many days. I personally love the Llangollen and the Avon ring, but each circuit has its own rewards. There is also a pub stop guide on the internet somewhere or other. I really enjoy working the locks, especially the staircases, so the more the merrier as far as I'm concerned. Others on the boat may be less convinced but a wee dram or 3 seems to win most people over :-)

    Love narrow boat holidays, done about 10 of them, but would never go in July or August, just too crowded on waterways and all the pub moorings get taken up.

    Especially if you want to avoid boats full of pissed up lads who didn't pay attention during the briefing / training sessions and who are likely to f*** you and your holiday up.
