Having trouble giving up the booze for this Charity game?

I have all good intentions then I notice there is a Champions league 1/4 Final, Eufa Cup 1/4 Final, important Premiership game, FA Cup Semi Finals, next it will be the Champs League Semi Final, more important Premiership games, Trip to Blackburn, leaving do in work, FA Cup Final, Eufa Cup Final, Champs League Final.
Bloody hot BBQ weather doesnt help either!
Why cant I go for more than two days without the Wine or beers tapping the inside of the fridge whilst I am sitting down after getting in from a hard days work!!

  • Don't drink at home, only drink at Pub is the answer.
  • then, by the sounds of it....he'd never be at home !!
  • Who said we had to give up drink then ?
i thought we were in training for the post match drinks and so have started doubling my intake !!
  • i'm struggling big time. Decided to have the last 15 yesterday morning, and wanted to come off with 10 to go !

Another stag weekend this week, then it will be a couple of serious non-drinking fitness weeks for me.

    Yep

WE ARE STAYING UP, SAY WE ARE STAYING UP !!!
  • What did I tell ya, had every reason to knock it on the head this week at least and then get a text from an old school pal about having a beer and watching the footy Wednesday before he goes to Australia for a year!

I am not meant to be fit for this game! (thats my excuse anyway)

dude, you can still drink and be fit, i am!!!! a drunk fit bloke, try it
  • played a double header yesterday morning and I can tell you I seriously struggled the last half hour in that heat and I feel today like I have run a marathon, if the 22nd is anything like as hot then the game will be at walking pace on that pitch !!!
  • I would like to think I was reasonably fit, but I'll admit I was wilting in that heat yeterday playing football. What's worse is the Valley itself tends to hold in the heat so if it's an 80F day, pitchside it will be nearer 90F, so a few people will be losing weight that day, that's for sure.
