I am amazed that this has not been mentioned, why did they have different socks on last night? Some multi stripe some 2 only?

    The only colour for socks is black unless they're for the gym when white is acceptable.

    They all wore the same socks. Some players had tape or stretchy support bandages over their socks that obscured some of the hoops making them look different from a distance. I really need to get out more!!!!!

    Yup. Its true. Sorry, meant no sexism by my comment. I hate hoopy socks on footballers but I have seen a few splendid examples of ladies wearing them (on a particularly memorable occasion, that's all she was wearing!). Ooops, sorry, I'm being inappropriate again. :-) smiley, winky thing!
