car advice - mazda

im looking to upgrade car as have a lil one due in a few weeks. was wondering if anyone has any experiences with mazdas in particular the mazda6 2.2 diesel.

Mate of mine had one. He liked it but said the build quality was crap.

We used to have a Mazda 5 - was perfectly ok with no mechanical issues but doesn't feel as solid as say a Ford or Honda.

Got a new cx-5 6 weeks ago and absolutely love it. Drives so well and feels solid and sturdy when cornering. You could do a lot worse imo

thanks for your advice guys, heard mazdas were mechanically sound, want a car that will last a good while. plus the sport versions seem quite exciting whilst still bein family friendly

Am on my 3rd Mazda. My previous one, a 1996 323 which I had from 2006 till 2014, eventually had 150,000 miles on the clock. Only in the last year did it (once) break down. I never had it serviced not even once.
