I offered £100 if my wife as Lady Captain of our golf club, and the Club Captain took the ice bucket challenge last Sunday. The money was to go to their nominated charity "No Child Without" which is a local charity to aid local children in need. The nature of the challenge has raised awareness of MND and also donating to charity in general. If the challenge was not so popular then many would not be donating a penny. I was immediately nominated by my wife, and had to suffer the indignity of getting soaked - and donating £100 in the process - for a good cause. I was pleased to have instigated the challenge and more pleased that our golf club raised over £400 on Sunday for a small local charity.
del I don't think anyone criticises an individuals choice of a good cause, and bravo to you. But McMillan as an organisation hijacking a challenge that was for ALS, and hijacking a funding stream is unacceptable.
I'm trying to create a football league show challenge. You have to stay up for the duration of the show (midnight till 10am Sunday morning). Watch all the goals (yes, even league 2). Finally you have to then recount from memory, either how many appearances and goals Leroy Rosenior made/got, or name 45 of the 964 clubs Steve Claridge played for. Will it take on I wonder

utter bollocks, they've been doing it for over a month.
I'm looking forward to the "ArseBucket Challenge" catching on. There's quite a high risk of E coli, Hepatitis A and cholera, but it is far more challenging, and in a world where fresh water is in such short supply for so many people, more appropriate.
Shit, just been nominated! I retract my statement it is a stupid stupid Facebook trend and should be banned.... Mwah mwah :-(
I agree about it being a silly facebook craze and have no interest in doing this. However, I have also now been nominated by BlackheathAddick and am being called all the names under the sun for saying no. Looks like I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and go for it........................... :-(

Hope you are well pal
We are not too snotty at my club, (we have even let JJ and the likes of Glenn Hoddle play there) and tailored shorts are permitted.
I am well thanks. Best wishes to you and your family Dan.
