  • How can people not rate Welbeck? He's 23 and has been in the United starting line up of 3 different United Managers. He's an England International, selected in the WC squad. He might not be quite good enough for the Top English Premier League Clubs, but he's an excellent players and would fit in well in many, many Premier Clubs. He's defintely not a bad players

It's that kind of talk that landed us with Djimi Traore. Goal and assist record in that time might be more relevant.
  • if he costs £15m sounds like he should go Fulham, they're having trouble scoring.
  • What a strange career he's had.

Injuries have played a major impact but he made his debut for Man United 13 years ago at the age of 17 and yesterday he scored just his 52nd league goal from 255 appearances. For a forward that really is a poor return and yet he was more consistent when he played for England as reflected by the fact that he has 16 England goals to his name from just 42 appearances.

Alot of his international goals were against third rate nations like San Marino, Malta and Scotland
That’s true of most England strikers though isn’t it.

1 in 5 isn't that bad for someone that's not an out and out center forward, especially when you factor in the times he was a sub, it's closer to a goal ever 3.5 games, which is actually quite good.

A classic case of Phil Neville syndrome, 99.9% of players aren't good enough to ever be a squad player at a club like Manchester United and earn 30-50 England caps.

A very good player, who unfortunately lost the best part of his career to injury, and we probably never saw the best of.  But still isn't bad, is he?
  • Was it Welbeck who (allegedly) had the drug problem or was that Sturridge?

    Wasn't Sturridge a religious issue?
