Marmaris in Turkey any recommendations

    Had a day trip in Marmaris when staying in Rhodes a couple of weeks ago. We only had a whistlestop tour so I'm not really sure what the best recommendations are. I would think a day trip to Rhodes (the opposite of our one) would be well worth a recommendation. Certainly, standing out on the deck of the boat as it crosses the beautiful blue Aegean was wonderful and Rhodes is a lovely town.

    I'd advise not spending too long in the bazaar, but then I hate all that commercial bullshit and fake-label stuff so it might just be me.

    Just about better than no holiday! most hotels very old with dangerous open lifts?shopkeepers are an absolute nightmare!but not as bad as they used to be!!
    Sea is like a weedy lake
    Alright if you like fake handbags and watches!
    But just about bearable for a week at most
