Only? 37 is quite a normal age to retire, even for a goalkeeper?

I think the heart problem is genetic and has always been there, just only recently diagnosed during a medical.

The article reads more like 'no one will employ him with this condition' rather than the player not wanting to keep playing.

Either was, as someone that has a congenital heart condition, I wish him all the best.
