First they didn't want draws, now this. Thoughts?

  • Probably not a bad idea I guess but who's to say it won't be misused like bloodgate in the rugby
  • God damn Septics. This is why I have been happy that the USA havn't really taken to football. This is the thin end of the wedge.
  • With Buckshee - not unreasonable, makes sense, but can & will be abused. Will have to think about it a bit more
  • "Parents also believe the rules should be changed in youth leagues so that children under 17 would only be allowed to head the ball a certain number of times per week."

    LOL
  • The fallout after bloodgate and subsequent bans in Rugby Union meant that when the concussion rule came in the governing body made it much harder to cheat. The concussion bin where any player is suspected of being concussed by the Referee is assessed by an independent doctor for 5 minutes. A sub is allowed in the meantime if the player is found to be fine he's allowed back on the pitch and the sub is reversed.

Seems like a good idea in football some of the recent incidents have been shocking how the players welfare is not a priority
  • Hey, we just love soccer ball.....
  • If you don't want your kid getting hurt then make him play golf. Don't Change the rules that have been in place for years. Either that or man the hell up

Love the idea of that. You'd allow your marker to use up all his headers in the first half by hoofing the ball high then get your team to cross into the box wholes of in the 2nd half. Brilliant.

  • Clearly helmets and lots of padding are the way to go.

  • Certainly think any player who gets knocked unconscious should have to go off, and with kids any head injury.
  • Football should probably have some concussion protocols and they aren't seeking a financial settlement so presumably well intentioned. On the other hand - try futsal, case dismissed.
