He had passed a medical and agreed terms but decided against a move to the Scottish champions. The club insists their Dutch central defender Virgil Van Dijk is going nowhere despite reported interest from Southampton. "Few other clubs in the Scottish Premiership are expecting much business before the window closes, although Partick Thistle are hoping to sign the former Liverpool and Blackburn striker Nathan Eccleston. In the Championship, Rangers are hoping to hold onto their players and don't expect to add to their squad. Hibs have taken Celtic winger Dylan McGeouch on loan."

Well thats never going to happen. Despite his critics, the last thing we want to be doing is losing another striker. We would then have the grand total of 2 first team strikers. (Unless we have 2 lined up today of course which I would be surprised at).
And even then, you would get them in before letting anyone go.
Portsmouth midfielder Jed Wallace has signed a new three-year contract with the League Two club.
The highly-rated 20-year-old was out of contract with Pompey this summer, but the club have convinced him to sign a new deal.
Wallace played 48 times last season, scoring seven goals and has also featured for the England Under-19 side.
"It's a big relief and it's been a long time coming," Wallace told BBC Radio Solent.
"The manager made it clear he wanted me to stay and I'm already looking forward to next season.
"People know there was speculation but I'm here and I want to be here and I feel top of the world. I've worked with the manager before and it does not need me to say that there is a change around the city and the club."
Standard Liege and Jonathan VIERA RAMOS reached an agreement.
Jonathan has just signed a contract for two seasons with our 2 club.
Born October 21, 1989 (24 years) in Las Palmas, the attacker (midfielder) began his professional career at UD Las Palmas (60 games / 15 goals) before being transferred to Valencia CF in 2012 (25 games / 5 goals). Last season, Valencia had loaned to Rayo Vallecano (28 games / 5 goals).
It now becomes our 10th reinforcements this summer.
Standard Liege welcome Jonathan and the success our colors.
Midfielder, Portsmouths best player according to a season ticket holding mate of mine. He reckons/is hoping it's a load of rubbish and Portsmouth won't let him go.
A move to London may be a bit more appealing than Birmingham.
He is far too good for the Championship.
I agree but he's available for loan.
You can't be serious lol as if he would come to us. The same player who a few years back told everyone how he would certaintly win Ballon d'Or before he was 30

NO ONE CARES ABOUT THIS SHITTING LEAGUE.
Good buy, as he was one of the hottest strikers the year we won the league
also Ebanks-Blake I'd have, has been injury prone but is still only 28 and without a club (some sort of pay as you play deal)
Benty would be the No1 pick though..(dream)
