Switching games from Saturdays to Friday nights in the 1970s - so that in the darkness the players wouldn't be disheartened by the vast gaps on the terraces.

That god awful broken club crest on the back on the north stand that seemed to decay ironically at the same pace as our performance

A certain CL thread, started by an attention seeking supporter from another club desperate for one upmanship whilst denying it, reaching hundreds of posts.

  • Millwall's forum members mocking Charlton Life members talking about anything remotely intellectual. One of them finds it amusing that we had a discussion about museums.

It seems that on Millwall.vitalfootball you won't fit in unless you write 'f**k' or 'c***' after every other word. I also can't understand how they can mock our forum when theirs is on vitalfootball.co.uk and looks like it was designed on windows 98.

I know this isn't 100% relevant to the thread but I thought i'd write it as they've linked this thread on their forum.

Not keeping the spanners in, letting the ob treat us like away fans.

Well JR, there is more of them to let out.

    Nerd (Adj)

    1) Anyone with the ability to contemplate and openly talk about anything other than football and fighting.

    2) Anyone who communicates without the continuous need to swear.

In the 60's they use to pay homage to a Henry Moore statue in London by putting scarfs on it and chant his name at games and I can't remember why. Perhaps someone on here will know?
  • Big Dave getting the league table confused after the Watford game and excitedly telling us Birmingham hadn't won, even though irrelevant.

I only pop on here because of a morbid fascination. It's like visiting a freak show in the old days I suppose.

Well a spanner is no good without all these nuts & bolts knocking around I suppose.
  • does no one moderate that site, you lot are as fukd up as them palce pricks your ripping the piss out of, one of the posts on there

look at the s***k trying not to burn his lips

    scummy club
  • Full Members Cup Final, March 1987, when we only took about 13,000 to Wembley and were out-numbered by Blackburn, those were dark days indeed.

Losing to Northwich Victoria under Parkinson was pretty embarrassing too.
  • Buying my X a pair of Charlton ladies undies from the club shop think they were called score draws and no they didn't work

That's cos they were goalless draws and no sliding tackles.
