(no Ketman not Mutton dressed as Lamb)

I thought some years back they (probably the EU) decided to call all sheep, lamb, and the word Mutton would no longer be used.

I find now that Mutton is sheep older than 2 years, can anyone shed any light?

Mutton has been coming back into fashion with trendy eaters and eateries due to its stronger taste and cos it's "new" and trendy to say Mutton rather than lamb.

Useless fact. Mutton as rhyming slang for deaf is from actually Mutt 'n' Jeff two Edwardian comic characters.

In Curry houses they always used to call it 'meat' as they couldn't call it Lamb!
