Bad grammar in public view.

sadiejane1981

Just a but of fun inspired by the "I wonder where this is" thread. Examples of extremely poor grammar on display for all to see.

That gravestone one looks photo shopped. Why would you not put a date or name on someone's gravestone?

Well at least two posters picked up on it. I reckon 70% of the time I see lose written, it's wrong. Infuriates me.

I hate hearing people saying 'for free'. It should either be just 'free' or 'for nothing'. 'For free' has become so common you could say it has now become correct as language evolves over time.........but I still think it is wrong!

Did anyone see the sign at clubshop prior to the Derby game that something along the lines of 'Also available Wigan programme what includes handbook.'?

This is on the business section of the BBC's web site:

If the BBC can't even get things right, what chance the rest of us?

There was once a sign that said...

"Dog owners are asked not to foul the public footpath!"

I don't have a dog so it's ok for me to take dump on the public footpath, right?

aliwibble

There's a shop near me that used to have a vinyl banner rather than a proper sign, and they'd obviously typoed the order, because it read "What She Want's". I'm not especially pedantic, but that was like nails down a blackboard every time I went past it. Thankfully they've been able to splash out for a proper shopfront now.

As long as you remember to clean it up and put it in the bin then yes.

If its in a street near selhurst park then just leave it to fester.
