On paper our easiest opponent to date so a 2-1 defeat it is.

Got a feeling of 'Stevenage away' from 2011/2012 about this one, after a strong start I think everyone expect us to win but I think we'll lose this 1-0.

This is exactly what I said on Tuesday. If we play like we did Tuesday we're unlikely to get away with it again.

I’m really up for this one as it’s my only Saturday game for a while. Stadium number 128 for me!

Jacko isn't and shouldn't be undroppable.

Don't think anyone has ever said he should be.

Thing is that when Powell picked him it was because he was a "favourite".

But then Riga kept playing him.

And now Peeters keeps playing him too.

Maybe, just maybe, he has something to offer and that's why four different managers have consistently picked him to play for Charlton.
23 likes there. He is a good player and undoubtedly bleeds for the cause. However he was very poor (in my opinion) against Wolves. Put a great assist in for Vetokele's goal against Derby, but needs to perform well on Sat I reckon. Seems BP is happy to keep Cousins out on the left for the moment, but I'm not sure JJ should be first choice week in week out.

92 with Charlton, 36 foreign. That 92 comes with a lot of dross.

Will be a good game .. Rotherham are still 'settling in' .. goal scoring? .. Agard was a big loss as was Thomas, to Bristol C and Brum respectively .. Bowrey, a record signing in the close season has scored 2 in 2 coming off the bench.. Revell is finding life harder in this division .. Becchio is on loan from Norwich, he is not 'match fit' .. Clarke-Harris is also a newcomer but he is 'potential' rather than an immediate threat ...CAFC OB Frazer Richardson is in a solid defence that lacks a bit of pace .. Green, Pringle (if selected), Wordsworth (if selected) Smallwood and Taylor make up a decent midfield, Collin is a decent keeper ...

The pace of our attack might find them out at the back .. I predict an away win after a close, decent tussle that will be good on the eye

    Rotherham United 1 v CAFC 2

Hope we can keep the unbeaten run going.

A point away from home is always good anymore a real bonus.
  • Sky bet makes Millers the clear favourites. Bookies are more often right than wrong. Could be 1-0.

This is the game that will determine whether we have genuine promotion potential or will be set for a mid-table finish. On paper we should turn Rotherham over, but I suspect we'll draw 1-1.

Big Bob beats Sweaty Evans by knock out in the 93rd minute following a 1-2 first away victory for the men in black.

    Or, if anyone's feeling musical.......

Start spreading the news, the reds are in town
We're going to get three points up there, in their New York
With Igor up front, the beast at the back
We'll smash the Rotherham, in their New York

We're going to win there, in style, despite fatigue
And find we're kings of the south, top of the league

Cos, If we can win up there
    we'll win games anywhere.
It's up to us, Charlton, Charlton

    I'll get me coat.......
  • It's undeniable that at some point we will lose a game. Or two or three. Though not tomorrow. Not three points but an away point nonetheless. Which will do for me.

Igor will continue his run of scoring in every away game so far.

Just made me realise only one of his five were at the Valley. Gotta be worth putting a bet on him to score tomorrow.

I think we have a fair chance of getting a decent result tomorrow. Hoping the team will be up for this game.
  • We are playing a team that struggle to score goals whereas our defence is as mean as they come. But we have rode our luck a lot recently and they say your luck evens up over the season. 1-0 to Rotherham.
  • Where are people drinking in Rotherham? Don't really wanna drink in Sheffield again
  • This content has been removed.
  • Potential banana skin but I think we will be ok and come away winners.

My first ever Charlton game was the 5-1 defeat, so I'll probably feel quite emotio....oh wait, I'm not actually going. Forget it.
  • not overly confident about this one truth be told. Still reckon we can grind out a result 1-2 charlton

Can't stand their manager and have a sneaky feeling we might taste defeat today. Really hope I'm wrong.

1-2 scoring the winner in the last 5 mins . The sun has gone to me head.
Re Evans - what's not to like:-( here's hoping we can expose him again, allegedly.

  • If we continue to squander chances like those we missed on Tuesday we are going to make life difficult for ourselves. Tucadean in particular needs a goal for confidence and to get the fans back on board.
    I predict a frustrating afternoon.
If Veto and JBG are out I predict a 0-2 defeat, otherwise a 0-0 stalemate.
  • 4-0. 2 from Igor and 2 from Jackson.

We have been underdogs every single league game this season yet we are undefeated. Bookies more often wrong so far this season.
