Anyone else think Ajdarevic would fit nicely in our new team?

Not quick, not especially fit but he can do things with a football not many of our current players can.

Genuinely gifted footballer and id love him back

Bulot is like a faster but less gifted version. Both in the same side, with JBG, behind Vetokele? Mm.

If he's sorted his fitness out, then yes. I liked him, but he frustrated with his 80-a-day, fast food physique.

That's exactly what my missus tells me every day!!
  • Given injuries there have been to Bulot and Gudmundsson I think Ajdarevic would certainly assist the squad if we have a lot of fixtures Jan-March

Maybe not AA as he is as one paced as Buyens but would love to see an attacking midfielder that drives into the box in and without the ball
  • Could make things happen and never afraid to have a shot

  • I was a big fan. His delivery from set pieces could be invaluable. And very talented, if not super fit.

He always had time on the ball which meant that when in possession, pace wasn't an issue. It was the way he lumbered around the field when we were trying to win the ball (which was often) where his pace became an issue. He had real class though, and I think he was very passionate. Yes from me!

I said before the season i would be delighted to have him a part of our squad once again and i stick to that, he had that touch of creative magic about him when we needed it.

He also played a lot more minutes of football then people's memory have given him credit for when it comes to mocking his fitness too.
  • As with JJ only works in a five. A no from me. Prefer a Donaldson type from yesterday. Mobile pacy can hold ball up and give Igor space.

    Absolutely, very gifted player.

How many full 90s has he played for Standard this season?

How many full 90s has he played for Standard this season?

He's made four appearances for a total of 213 minutes according to Transfermarkt or an average of 65 minutes per game. I don't think he will improve the quality of the squad that much but with his dead ball skills and vision he may improve options ... from the bench for instance.

In any event he cannot come to CAFC until January and there is a lot of football against bottom half teams to be played between now and then. In the meantime Liege are going through a mini-meltdown so who knows what their perspective will be come January! Although it has to be said they are only a few points off sixth place and their play-offs.

He's a player I enjoyed watching....in some ways because he left you thinking there was more to come. It's a yes from me because I saw potential and the ability to make things happen...but think it will be a no from Bob.

I liked him for the same reasons - he was confident on the ball, had a cracking shot on him and was quite tricky too.

You've got to ask whether he would improve the team - and as far as the central midfield area goes; he would. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing him come on for Jackson as his legs are tiring around 60 minute mark... Maybe even providing some link up with Igor in a 4-4-1-1, or sitting behind Igor and Tucudean in a 4-3-1-2 if we find ourselves a goal behind.

However, pre-season I'm fairly certain Big Bob said Ajdarevic wouldn't be featuring in his plans. It's a shame really.

Basically the bloke clearly struggles with fitness. He rarely plays 90 in Belgium and the intensity of the Championship is double that of Belgium.

Bulot and Moussa are on our wage bill and will.switch between being our impact players. We won't bring a third in without getting rid of one of those

Think AA would be even better this time around, IF he did come, as he would have more players on his wave length around him....basically quality.

Personally speaking I think we need a second decent striker, or alternatively a midfielder who can carry the ball forward from a central 3. Cousins could do this if he's encouraged to do so, as indeed could Jacko. Moussa might be an option too.

Astrit is only coming off from the bench for Liege which is why he isn't playing the full 90.

Actually think he could do a job up front better than Tucudean. He is bit of a lump and traps the ball very well.

Am amazed at why so many here call him a lump? I watched the video he posted of himself doing the Ice Bucket challenge, and from a female perspective, he looked in very good shape! How lean and lithe are the guys making fun of him I wonder?

I'd have him back fully fit. Not interested otherwise.
