Watford after their 4th manager of the season

Losing Garcia was unfortunate but first the Italian bloke, Sannino, and now McKinlay? Something going on there. Fair play to the players who despite this upheaval have kept them right up there. McKinlay has been there two games, eight days, madness.

Odds on to be Fulham manager, he was coach there under Hodgson so makes sense in one way, but dont make sense that he would leave joint top for 3rd bottom

They would be foolish not to stick with Kit Symons in my opinion.

Deeney player manager for a bit. Could work.

What do you base that on?

Di Matteo and Clarke are still out of work. The first is a more realistic option what with their Italian connections.

It's now six years since Curbs left the Hammers. But is he now prepared to drop down to the Championship?

Di Matteo has gone to Schalke

Is it rumour then that McKinlay is off to become the Fulham Manager or is it becoming actual fact.

If so then the above picture of Michael Appleton actually deserves to be on this thread as fact rather than as a joke... McKinlay has been in the background at clubs for 10-years and now could move from becoming Manager at one club to another within a short time frame, he really needs to stay put at Watford if that is the case... Appleton is a perfect example of ruining your career too early, and going to Fulham seems a bit of a poisoned chalice at the moment (as they are only going in one direction), and if he were to join them then they would sack him at the first little problem and he'd then be remembered and mistrusted by most chairmen cos they'll be worried about being another Watford to him!!

SS say that the eminant coach Slavisa Jokanovic is going to be appointed.

Their search didn't take long did it?

Did they say how long for?

Their fourth manager (or head coach) in 37 days, according to the BBC. It's the sort of mental goings-on you'd expect from a team in turmoil, not one that's third in the table, joint top. Obviously, we know about Garcia's unfortunate health problems, so that's been explained. But it's all very odd.

sounds like they have been looking since Garcia left, from what I read they wanted a more experienced manager and knew at some point they would sack McKinlay so have been looking for a couple of weeks, all seems strange to me

He has 'Dougiefreemanightus', a condition where you enjoy acting daft and still claim to be a professional.

Apparently the Pozzos decided they weren't so keen on McKinlay becoming manager so wanted to bring somebody in and for him act as a number 2 but naturally I guess McKinlay didn't fancy it..

A rather sorry mess but its done and just got to hope the new guy gets a good run (of fortune and results) otherwise he might be out before Xmas.

Won in Serbia..and Thailand so clearly a manager who has been around.

As the OP said we're still join top despite all this and not playing very well!

Was almost laughably rubbish for Chelsea, but players are not managers

Powell should have held out - he'd have been brilliant up there.

He's already captain (I think) and he seems like he knows a thing or two, but then again what do I know!
