Really happy for him, he deserves it but I honestly thought they'd ignore his ridiculous goal scoring and go for someone a bit more "box office". In the end they just couldn't ignore the stats though 😃 I remember whenever Kane had his 1st really good season for Spurs and Man Utd were sniffing round him for £30m or something. I said at the time "if I was spurs id bite their hand off. He'll never have a season like that again" 🤣😂🤣

Well deserved and what a tremendous acceptance speech, Kane seems such a decent bloke, humble, hard working & honest. He’s a breath of fresh air and a real example to all young footballers. He’s like a fine wine gets better and better as he matures as a footballer and leader  …let’s hope he can stay fit for the Euros & hopefully next World Cup.

There were a fair few on CL that wanted Kane out the England team not long ago.

I was one of those who thought he maybe shouldn't be in the team during Euro2024, but only because he was so obviously nowhere near fit.

    When did we face him?

The thing about Kane is that he isn't just a brilliant goal scorer like Haaland, but also drops back and can play like a World Class 10, spraying brilliant passes around. It's makes him so hard to mark.

When we beat Leyton Orient at home 3-1 in 2011. Semedo scored.

Harry came on for 14 minutes as a sub.

Well deserved and a great example of a journey not being linear.
    Leave Lineker out of this.

I was at that game and remember thinking that Paul Benson would have a much better career than Kane :-)
