Good confidence boost for the lad, and a great signal for our young Academy boys.0

lol! Watched both players at Euro 2014 (U17s) with Joe Gomez, both scored a number of goals...Armstrong has appeared a few times for Newcastle now whilst Solanke was rumoured to be in the Squad against Manchester Uniteddizzee said:

Great recognition for the player and club.
I also watched the tournament in the summer, and taking all three games Joe Gomez was the best England player overall, followed by the Fulham youngster.2 -
Quite liked that Isaiah Brown but think he's an idiot... Kid would probably be a First-Teamer @ West Brom now (Seeing appeared in the Premier League for them), Chelsea then made him an offer and so ended another players career

            Really pleased for him.
He is 1 of only 3 players from the Championship selected.0 -
good luck to him ...i think he needs loaning out though to get games /experience0

Good news, but will he miss any Charlton games as a result?0

Nope the games against Poland are in the standard International break so he'll disappear off after Reading but be back for Millwallkillerandflash said:Good news, but will he miss any Charlton games as a result?

I would think playing for the U21 would be better than playing against Div 1 or 2 CB's who don't take prisoners.lolwray said:good luck to him ...i think he needs loaning out though to get games /experience
As he was only 17 two months ago, we need to play him in 20/25 min cameos from the bench.
We need to be in charge of his development.

Agreed... If he was around 19 / 20 then I'd say send him out on loan... For now though be better keeping him around the clubsoapboxsam said:

I would not mind seeing him go out to conference on one of these deals where he still plays for our U21's, I think Lennon was on one of these.ForeverAddickted said:

Good article... England have some good young Strikers coming through at the momentHenry Irving said:0 -
If Peeters nurture's KAG correctly I think he could be the best striker to come out of our youth academy in a long time. Big IF though as we all know how quickly things change for players that age.5

Chelsea have one of the best youth teams in Europe at the moment. In their recent champions league youth game, 16 of their 18 players were English and Mourinho has said that with FFP kicking in, he wants to bring through a few of these kids. Whether he will though is another matter.0 -
            http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isaiah_Brown
After Brown left the club West Brom's chairman considered scrapping the club's category one development academy as the EPPP rules Chelsea used to sign Brown meant that the club were losing their best prospects for nominal fees that failed to cover the cost of running an academy
So even in Cat 1 smaller clubs can still have their best young players plundered by the larger ones...0 -
Having watched Izzy Brown and Ruben Loftus- Cheek, two Chelsea players with fantastic skill,
but no where near the chelsea 1st team, tells you everythink you need to know about young gifted players at the top 2 clubs in England. (other young but less talented players will be playing 1st team football and getting ahead of you)3 -
