That's easier said than done as we don't know the extent of Millwall infiltration. I have my suspicions that as many as 90% of Lifers are actually Millwall.TheArgsenal said:

Fck mine, you think a Millwall fan would go to this much effort to get a ticket.
Every Millwall fan would know at least one CAFC member and be able to get a ticket in the ground anywhere pish easy.
They will be dotted about everywhere and will prob find a way to get in without a ticket like last time anyway.

If a Millwall fan wants to buy a ticket to the home end, then the club is £25 (give or take) to the better and if he acts up, then our fans get treated to the sight of the stewards escorting some of London's finest pond life to the nearest copper. Can't see how this could possibly go wrong.1

Well, I was hoping that GlassHalfFull would have posted by now but I'm sure there's a very good reason for his tardiness.
All I'll say on the matter is that I met Adam and spoke with him for a good 75 mins in Bartrams and he is one smashing young Canadian Gooner.
I sincerely hope he enjoyed that " boring" match that some on here referred to on the other thread & that he will happily stay in touch and preach the Charlton gospel once he's back home again.
Oh, and he really rates Le Coq ......

Sorry, FF, I was waiting for the young man's comments before posting but here goes anyway ....
I'm afraid that the hoped-for Charltonisation didn't occur - Adam is too long a Gooner - but he is happy to consider himself now an honorary Addick.
We'd already met up the week before when I was fortunate enough to get him a ticket for England/Slovenia so that he could experience Wembley and from time to time some football. As a Gooner he was well happy to see plenty of Arsenal players on duty and generally enjoyed a typical England match.
Yesterday we started by visiting Dial [Beresford] Square, the origin of Woolwich Arsenal, namely Dial Square FC. We saw the Arsenal gatehouse and as I was not entirely certain of the Beresford Square issue we made sure by walking a few metres into the Arsenal grounds and saw the Dial Arch with eponymous sundial.
We got to The Valley well early to make sure of getting comfortable in Bartrams, but not before he made a large burger effortlessly disappear in about 10 secs. We duly met up with FF and her party, and my great mate John from Coventry. Adam was indeed excellent company.
The match, as said, was ok-ish but sadly denied a rightfully tumultuous finish. The strangely subdued Miiiiii failed to make their normal contribution which was both a relief and a disappointment - Adam has spent most of his European visit in Edinburgh and was expecting a reprise of the Hearts/Hibs derby.
We then repaired to The Elephant back in Beresford Square to see Arsenal's ineffective performance against Man Utd. A very hospitable old-school South London clientele was enhanced by several Polish Gooners behind us. "Wghytfs ghdvsf Wilshere nvmkl." " Ja, kljhgsfd juwtrqv ogpty The Ox sfvanl!"
Finally, to seal the transatlantic day we visited McDonalds in Woolwich, in 1974 the first of the chain to open in the UK and the 3000th worldwide. More burgers disappeared, like watching a pelican pouching a herring.
It was nothing but a great pleasure to meet such a decent guy and, it must be said, an amazingly well-informed sportsfan. He has very kindly agreed to help in the Spring with my modest overseas programme distribution, so if any Canadian Addicks reading this are interested please let me know. Adam is from Toronto, btw.
I'm sure we wish him a safe return to Canada and hope indeed he will be over here again in the not-too-distant future.

Its a pity, if this happens a lot, we cant just give millwall more tickets. Its not like we sell out so if we could give them part of the east stand or something (but guessing this is not possible with season ticket sales). Remember when Orient came in the cup they brought about 6k and it was a great atmosphere.0

I'm sorry for my late reply here, it's been a hectic past few days. My better half just graduated from Edinburgh Uni and we've been in the process of moving home back to Canada.
GHF gave a pretty accurate account of the day(especially the speed of burger consumption). I had an absolute blast.
Every Addick I met was absolutely fantastic. Really decent people and made me feel right at home. You guys have lots to be proud of. I thought that The Valley was a great ground and while Millwall were pretty quiet, I thought the Covered End gave a good account of themselves.
Wishing you the very best this season and hope you guys come up, as unfortunately the championship doesn't get played much on TV in the frozen wasteland I live in.

The young man's a natural, talking about the Covered End and not the North Stand - what a shame we got to him 10 years too late ...
