Neck/Shoulder Pain Advice

My wife had a prolapsed disc a few years ago. It was only once it had been properly diagnosed that she finally got it sorted. Went private to a place in Birkbeck Rd in Sidcup, who were very good. Told her that the reason it kept coming back was because it never got properly sorted. Think she had about 5/6 sessions and never had a problem since.moutuakilla said:I started this topic around two years ago. Since then I have been passed from pillar to post until finally today I got a referral to an extended scope practitioner (someone who know's what they are doing) and they have diagnosed me as most likely having a slipped/prolapsed disc in my neck. Very frustrating it has taken this long for them to send me to someone who can diagnose the problem in ten minutes.
Has anyone else had similar problems?0 -
Was it a case of doing exercises to strengthen the back?DaveMehmet said:

If you use ibuprofen based medication, don't abuse em like I did coz that's what ruined my kidneys and nearly killed me. Having suffered years of excruciating joint pain, the best thing I found was Volterol (Diclofenic based) for pain relief, but as mentioned above, see a specialist0

I was using ibuprofen like sweets for a few months but it didn't really do anything and I was mostly doing it out of habit. Try not to take any pain killers.i_b_b_o_r_g said:If you use ibuprofen based medication, don't abuse em like I did coz that's what ruined my kidneys and nearly killed me. Should be seeing a specialist again soon0 -
There were some exercises but think most of the cure came from the physio treatment (it was over 10 years ago)moutuakilla said:
