  • [cite]Posted By: AFKA Bartram[/cite]if the reports that Giggs is doubtful as well as Rooney and Scholes out, we won't have a better chance.

And for some reason i always fancy us more for evening games than i do in the afternoon.

If we can get at them from the off and get the crowd going then I think weve got a chance. Djimi is gonna be a big loss against Ronaldo as Herman just isnt that mobile anymore....
  • [quote Herman just isnt that mobile anymore....[/quote]

He looked off the pace on Saturday. Appeared to have his boots on the wrong foot.

On the plus side, he won gold, silver and bronze in the kicking as high as you can competition.
  • The amount of times he hoofed it as high as possible up field and it went to a west ham player was quite impressive. If only he had played in the Leaburn era ;-)
  • I think we could be in line for a cheeky little result.

Curbs tried for years with no success Dowie will get it first time.........

    ... medication time I think!!!
  • I hope you're right valleyv. I have a gut feeling too, but then, when I have a gut feeling, like Operation Riverside, it's all bound to end in disappointment. Do we ever learn???
  • We have to stand a chance. Enough of the same old Charlton mentality , we should be out to get them from the start , looking for the win. The last thing we need to do is sit back and bring Manure onto us.

83% of players who score against us were not booed :(

Eg. Zamora was decidedly not booed on Saturday and consequently scored twice, same with Kevin Davies at the end of last season. Mark Viduka has been resoundly ignored over the years and has thus cored a hatful of goals against us.
  • Impeccable logic there Salad!
  • I agree Suz - Id prefer we sang about our own players...just for once id like to go to a game and the whole team gets their name sang...the last few seasons far to much energy has been put into booing other players or managers when we should be cheering on our own (in my little opinion)
  • agree.

any kind of passion is wanted, but i can't see how booing ronaldo is going to help us. no i do'nt like him, i hated him before the world cup.

surely we should encourage singing about our own team mates rather than the opposition? hardly going to inspire them to win is it?
