Coquelin and Solly were our best players. Poor game overall, thought bringing Harriott on so early instead of another striker was a mistake.

Tucadean isn't the greatest but he causes problems for the opposition and we wasted Igor by leaving him up front alone for 80 minutes. It's a game we should have won if we'd been bolder

Good - Igor, Solly, Pope, Gud, The Arsenal bloke, Cousins
    Bad - Fox, Bikey
    Average - The rest.

The ref was utter toilet, if only he knew about the law of advantage.

I've been saying for weeks that Tucudean is a dud. Can his apologists please step forward and try and defend that?
  • Gud can't cross the ball effectively or take corners -is he really a wide player,

Thought we just needed to get into their box quicker. Their defence was solid and always had time to get bodies behind the ball. like to see Coq with licence to carry the ball occasionally.
  • watched second half on stream (missed the first half due to work). 0-0 was what i predicted, dammit, will we ever score against them again let alone win,

agree that the ref didn't seem to know what playing the advantage meant, there was a good breakaway chance in the second half for us, but instead decided to blow his whistle for the free kick back in the centre circle

I'm not sure what happened at the end there with tucudean, I cant work out if he was unlucky trying to get the ball under control or if he just completely f*cked it up...didn't get the opportunity of a replay....

    1) Too many wasted corners. Can we not try a big one over the top and have a centre-half head it back beyond the far post? 2) I would have liked to see someone partner Igor up front.
    Not our best, was it?

    Boring as fuck.
  • Tucudean trying to be too clever with that chance, he had it, he should be the hero tonight, gutted....................

Not long in just switched on without reading.

A point is a point and against this lot, given our historic awful record, I'll take that all day long yet it could have been so much better.

For long periods we looked the better side and quite threatening when we went wide although the final ball usually left a lot to be desired. I was sorry to see Yoni go off but Harriott , although making the odd basic error as is his wont, looked a real threat and worked hard. He hit his shot in the second half straight at Forde. Either side of him and it would have been a goal.

My one criticism is that from around seventy minutes until five minutes or so from the end we sat back to the extent that it looked as if only one side would score and that side would not be us! We seemed to enter a Phil Parkinson time warp lumping the ball in the air so it came down with ice on it to little Vetokele for that big bearded lump Webster to say thanks very much and gobble it up.

Big Bob then removed a knackered JJ who had run himself into the ground and introduced Tucudean. That proved the catalyst for a LITTLE more attacking intent and I do not know how George did not win it for us in time added on although the Millwall defenders did not give up on it.

At the end of the day though we didn't lose and it was a solid team performance even though, as expected, the game was far from a classic.

  • Played with no sense of urgency and no plan b. Igor desperately needed a strike partner.

looking at that again , could and maybe should have been a penalty! defender clatters into George and doesn't even touch the ball but still stops George getting that final touch

The ref was never going to give a pen, Igor got taken out when in the box, a couple of handballs.

I said at the time he needed to slide it under/wide of the keeper.........but that's why he's playing in this league & not higher.

Thought Gudmonson & Coq were our best players - as echoed above we need to get Coq on loan for the rest of the season. Then all out to find a decent striker to play with Igor.

don't think I'll ever see us score against them, let alone see a win. Need to start scoring goals though with some tough games coming up against teams that on their day can score 3 or 4 at will.

Maybe it wasn't obvious from all stands, but Pope made a superb save down to his right late on.

Yawn fest. Pathetic attempt by George at the end just fucking shoot you plum.
  • Had the ball been on his left foot, he would have shot. Instead he clips it over the keeper with his right, hoping for it land so he can hit it with his left. FFS, he a pro.

No. He's a central midfielder. A sort of Claus Jensen type.

4-1-4-1/4-5-1 at home to one of the worst teams I have seen at the valley for years???

Big bob bottled it big time, went 442 with seven whole minutes left?

20 mins too late my son, that game meant something to us, you didn't want to lose it obviously but I would have at least liked to have seen us have a go

I don't think it was as bad as people as saying. We just lacked a cutting edge up front.
  • Outstanding ball? I'd be fed up with myself if I didn't make that, let alone a professional, in the Championship who trains day in day out. Simple pass... as for the finish let's not go there....

Gud and Coq were different class today, and Pope put in a solid performcance. Bit average other than that. Really frustrates me watching Cousins play out wide, he just doesn't seem to have the creativity needed when put in to good areas out wide.
  • A typically dull Charlton Millwall game, 6 games in a row now that we haven't scored against them...

Why did the fella not just crack the bloody thing past the keeper. As long as he has a hole in his bottom he will not be a success with us.
