Good luck Morro, if you read this. Thanks & well done for your efforts.
  • Sad about this. To me he was a hugely under rated player who (and it appears I am in a minority of one) I would have had in the team ahead of TBH. Really rate Morro and he has many more years left in him. Never let you down and part of a defence that have ultimately been the reason why we not only went up, but stayed up.

    Good luck Morro.
  • Good player, who has done exceptional for us through bad and good times. Would be selfish to keep him as back-up, so good move for him and the right way for the club to act.
  • All the best Morro. Sad to see him go but that's football. Played a big part in the League one title winning season and keeping us in the championship for the past two seasons.
  • Gutted. Class player for us and has been almost ever present in his time hear. Signed a new contract when times were apparently rough here, One of my favourites to wear the shirt. All the best to him

Maybe he signed a new contract because nothing better was available?

All the best Michael , will never forget you being part of our League 1 runneraway winners season.

Apart from 'undisclosed' how much do you reckon we'll get for him?

    I'd guess about 150k
Be more than that for a fairly young, first choice CB who is under contract elsewhere

If Michael's got a 3 and a half year contract at another championship club than good for him.
I did think at the beginning of season that he would be playing alongside either TBH or Bikey.
but the other two started well. maybe 300k as he was on 2 year contract ?
The fact that he's younger than the 3 other CB wasn't a factor?
we also have Gomez and Thomas who could well be the future.

when we needed to shore up the defence at Brighton and Fox got the nod over him the writing was on the wall.
    thanks for the memories.

I think Big Bob will know more than you ;-)

  • Sorry to see him go. I think he should be starting for us. But I under strand why he has left us. All best to you and thanks for the photo up at Barnsley

Quite sad to see this. Was one of the fresh faces that stopped the rot and got us back on course. Good luck Michael.

  • I know if we are to improve players we will leave but can't help feel a bit sad each time one of them goes.

The league 1 championship team is one of my favourites ever as after being so poor for a few years with players that did not seem bothered we got our charlton back.
  • Thanks Michael. A gentleman and a star who always gave of his best for Charlton Athletic. Best wishes in your future career.
  • Sad to see him go, personally thought he was better than Bikey or Fox.
Sign of our new owners breaking the old team up.
Perhaps the peanuts (doubt we will ever know how much his transfer will be)
we get for him will allow us to get a decent unknown foreign striker.
    Never once let us down!

Stood in among the fans at the toolbox a few visits back.
Good Luck Morro, and thanks for your part in making us L1 Champs.
  • Worrying that a quality (proved by Brum performances) CB has been let go while TBH deal expires in June.

Bit of a daft decision really. He's young, English and very effective in this league. He also worked his nuts off for us in both divisions and I'm really sorry to see him go. The only positive is hopefully we've got a bit of money for him that we can spend on a striker

Thanks Morro. A superb signing and key part of our promotion season and staying in the championship.
  • Thanks Michael. You always gave 100% The leader of the pack, sad to see you go.
Just know you will be a big success at Brum.

Just hope this move does not rebound an bit us on the bum.

Looking back at the way he took a couple of his goals, we could probably have done worse than bring him back and stick him up front!

Best of luck Michael, good player, good servant and a good pro, shame you're going to such a scummy club.

Yeah this is more dogpoo from our dogpoo owner as far as I'm concerned. It even looks poo from St. Charles' bridge
  • Outstanding contribution to only to the promotion season but also ensuring we maintained our champinship status.... Wish him all the best but does leave us lightweight should TBH or Bikey get injured - hope this risk is mitigated by using money, whatever the fee, for someone new
  • Not only to
