A proper singer was Joe absolutely individual and was a great interpretor of other peoples songs, his version of Bird on a Wire is my absolute favourite. So sorry to hear he has passed away another rock legend has bit the dust and there have been a few this year (Johnny Winter, Jack Bruce etc) it is just sad.

Saw him up at Birmingham NEC in the mid '90's at a strange charity gig line up featuring ZZ Top and Eric Clapton also. Great voice. RIP
