Consistency of selection

I know times have changed with large squads and rotation and little loves getting tired after two games in a week and all that, but am I the only one to be astonished by today's statistic that Man U are fielding an unchanged team for the first time in 85 games? That's gobsmacking.

    I think they've used something like 45 players so far this season.

    Plus Man U have had a steady string of injuries through this season.

    The funny thing being today's game being less than 2 days after the last one, is the game you'd expect to rest a few. And what a dire spectacle it turned out to be

    Call me stoopid but how does that work when Prem Clubs have to declare an initial squad of , is it 25 players ?

    Or is Man U an exception to the rule( as in many other areas IMHO) ?

    Probably because u21 players don't have to be registered as part of the 25 man squad.
