Reddit. It's the only website you'll ever need. Literally. It has a subreddit for every subject. It might be serious - /r/AskScience - or silly - /r/Cats. Two that make me laugh the most are /r/CrappyDesign and /r/HoldMyBeer.
In each sub reddit is a list of content submissions. Might be an image, a video, or simply a question. If you click on the title you'll go through to the content. Or click on the comments to see what people are saying. All submissions and comments are voted up and down by the community. You accrue 'karma' like you did likes and LOLs on here.
Once you've signed up, your front page will be a combination of your subs. Here are some of the obvious examples:

It is pretty good at tagging NSFW (Not Safe For Work, for the uninitiated) fortunately. But if I even referenced some of the stuff I found out about, it would put people off even hitting the /r/cats sub.

Just google Reddit and your favourite subject, chances are there's a sub for it. Just don't go too dark, you might not like what you find.
