Metallica - Mater of Puppets Pearl Jam - Ten Guns N Roses - Appetite for Destruction Alice in Chains - Dirt Nirvana - Nevermind. Faith No More - Angel Dust The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses
I can't choose my favorite 5 as there are too many...... but the last 5 I've listened are:-
Arctic Monkeys - Whatever people say I am Dr Dre - 2001 Jay Z - The Black Album Kanye West - The College Dropout The Streets - Original Pirate Material
Flag? Does someone disagree with this list so much that they find it offensive?
Come on, I was obviously joking
Flags are not to be taken lightly...............they are a serious and offensive weapon within CL. Please use with caution!
Third - Soft Machine In the Land of Grey and Pink - Caravan Time Peace - Terry Callier Pawn Hearts - Van der Graaf Generator Water Babies - Miles Davis
The Kinks - Something Else The Beatles - Sgt Pepper Jethro Tull - Stand Up David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust Family - Music in a Dolls House The Rolling Stones - Beggars Banquet The Kinks - Village Green Preservation Society The Stranglers - Rattus Norvegicus Yes - The Yes Album David Bowie - Low The Who - Who's Next Pink Floyd - Piper at the Gates of Dawn Joni Mitchell - Court and Spark REM - Automatic for the People CSNY - Deja Vu Neil Young - Harvest King Crimson - Lizard
oh, come on, there are just too many, and any of those above I could have subbed a different album!!!

Reckon we have probably been to some of the same gigs, in our time
I agree with those that say five is too difficult:
The Fall - This Nation’s Saving Grace Fad Gadget - Gag Nick Cave ATBS - From Her to Eternity Beck - Mutations Depeche Mode - Violator Soft Cell - Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret Pink Floyd - Piper at the Gates of Dawn Pulp - Different Class Stranglers - Rattus Norvegicus Bill Nelson’s Red Noise - Sound on Sound The Monks - Black Monk Time Scraping Foetus off the Wheel - Hole Frank Zappa - Joe’s Garage 2&3
Too difficult to pick just 5...however here's 8 for today they would be-:
Sgt Pepper - Beatles Close to the Edge - Yes Bat out of Hell - Meatloaf Out of the Blue - ELO Fresh Cream - Cream Unplugged - Eric Clapton On the threshold of a Dream - Moody Blues Three sides Live - Genisis
Sorry ladies & Gents got a bit carried away. Am still listening to the same music 34 years on.
Stiff Little Fingers. Fifteen & Counting. The Exploited. Totally Exploited. Sex Pistols Jubilee The Jam. Greatest Hits Secret Affair Glory Boys. Madness. The Heavy Heavy Hits The Damned. The Black Album The Clash. Give Em Enuff Rope The Clash. The Singles Last Resort. You'll Never Take Us. Cock Sparra. Back Home
Yep bbbm we probably have, although unfortunately I haven't seen a few of those artists, regrettably one was Galaxie 500 - Dean, Damon and Naomi together. Another, Sillybilly, was the 10,000 Maniacs and Our Time In Eden tops it for me as a few songs were sent on a mix tape and I fell in love with it.
See The Boos graced your list Bbbm and I nearly added Kingsize to mine and 'praps it should have been.
Strangely, my favourite band, The Popguns don't even make the list as although I love them, I only added albums that I love to listen to as a complete piece or two sides. Guess that's the production as well as the music.
Heart of Saturday Night - Tom Waits Secrets of the Beehive - David Sylvian Astral Weeks - Van Morrison Benji - Sunkilmoon Bless the Weather - John Martyn August and everything after - Counting Crows Hejira - Joni Mitchell
Forever Changes - Love Odyssey and Oracle - The Zombies A Hard Day's Night - The Beatles All Mod Cons - The Jam Aftermath - The Rolling Stones The Who Sell Out - The Who The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses Fifth Dimension - The Byrds Aladdin Sane - David Bowie Pet Sounds - The Beach Boys Even Serpents Shine - The Only Ones What Did You Expect From The Vaccines - The Vaccines
These are albums where I really enjoy all or most tracks. As the record industry has admitted, there have been too many filler tracks on too many albums, contributing to their decline
In no particular order
- just about any and every album by Bruce Hornsby - Urban Hymns - The Verve - Moontan - Golden Earring (good man, @saga Lout) - Saturday Morning Pictures- Stray - Live at Hammersmith 86 - Talk Talk - Who's Next - The Who

As a person brought up in the 60s/70s, my choice would be:
1. Pet Sounds (1966).The Beach Boys (or more importantly, Brian Wilson) raised the bar considerably on the sophistication of music in that era.
2.Hot August Night (1971). Brought Neil Diamond to the World Stage.
3.SMiLE. The best album ever (Brian Wilson). So intricate and so complex. Classed as the "lost masterpiece" until belatedly released in 2004.
4. "Bridge Over Troubled Water" Simon and Garfungle.
5. Rubber Soul. The Beatles.
Cypress Hill - Black Sunday.
