I'll try and provide some updates on this thread as it progresses if my white busted phone is working, helpful if others do as well (or paste in any relevant tweets)
A member of the trust board will be 'tweeting' live from the event. I am sure they will post the details on here later. I will be taking some photographs, but they will not be available till Thursday. Hope to see as many of you there, let me know who you are..... I am the bald bloke with the camera..... dressed in black.

I have just watched the video of last nights VIP meeting. I expected it to be stage managed and so it was. KM was visibly rattled by the articulate questioning at the end (I presume this was Covered End) but basically said that all communication has to be communicated to her and only through the Fans Forum! She would not entertain a proper discussion with CE and in fact this was concluded abruptly by Mick Everett the MC. I will be at the public meeting tonight and I hope people will not be put off by some of her warmer words. I have no idea as to how we get the owner to communicate in a meaningful way and frankly he may never do. Therefore I think that at the meeting tonight ways should be explored as to how we can get the Fans Forum to be an effective communication channel for all of us! I must also say that KM implying that Alex Dyer, Bob and others were liars just because they were ex employees was distasteful and reflected badly on her (as if the PR stunt with the young fan the day before had not added to her bad relationship with many fans).

Also interesting she stated that ALL communication will only be through her, clearly showing that RD isn't interested in any kind of dialogue with the fans. She is only interested in dialogue under certain conditions also it seems.
My big hope for tonight is that all views are listened to respectfully and that all parties find common ground.
To my mind, the arguments are finely balanced. I can see and appreciate the good things that Roland has brought to the club and cannot see him as the dangerous threat that some others perceive. On the other hand, I have serious concerns about the rather amateur and shambolic way the club seems to be being run, the less than convincing scouting and recruitment track record and the way In which the club seems reluctant to engage properly with fans - and by engage I mean meaningful two way dialogue. Others appear not to feel the same way but I find it hard to believe that very many people would think that absolutely everything is just fine.
Either way you see things, what I really don't understand are those on here who seem hostile to the idea of the meeting, which is clearly being set up as an open forum for all fans to express their views. Nor do I understand those who say there is no point in the meeting because nothing can be done about the concerns that they share.
The big challenge is going to be finding a way to articulate any predominant shared concerns in a way which gains common agreement, and then to propose ideas for what might realistically be done to get our views heard and taken seriously. I guess much of that will be the tough task of a few people after the meeting, reflecting on all that has been said. It would help them enormously in that task if all concerned can listen effectively, add value to the debate and avoid becoming protagonists on opposing sides of an argument. We are all Charlton, we all want what is best for the club both in the short and long term; no-one is the enemy here.
There is a equivocal element to aspects of what is said on the video.
On one level some fans are saying it's all awful, and looks like it will stay that way, and Katrien is saying no it's not, what more can I say, and you have to believe me' almost bordering on Katrien saying 'are you calling me a liar'. Katrien has frequently said she is in charge, certainly as the person at the front of the store, and what she says is right, and her integrity ought not to be questioned, she is even borderline insulted if her voracity, and integrity, and her version of events are deemed in any way to lack probity.
However we then get to the bit where fans ask for Roland. Katrien says then that there is no need, she knows what is in his mind and will speak for him, indeed it is as if Roland has given Katrien the role of not only his eyes and ears, but his mouth and voice too.
So we have somebody freely admitting she has no actual autonomy (Je Suis Roland as it were) yet insisting that she is the decision maker and acts with integrity. So if I get this right Katrien is acting with Rolands integrity but not her own. To criticise or question her, is to criticise and question Roland. However she is not a puppet.
It is weird to want it both ways, to say you're following orders, but you actually make the decisions. Katrien repeatedly asserts her personal authority at Charlton Athletic, yet she can't behave with autonomy either. Is this not some kind of mental gymnastics or does it make perfect sense?
What time, what channel? The BBC have decided to scrap all this nonsense about Eastenders and will show live uninterrupted coverage of the meeting tonight instead

wy can't this make sense? Before cabbing i was a manager of a team in the finance industry and the running of that team was solely down to me and i made most of the decisions regarding that team, however, my decisions were influenced by the wishes of the directors. This is no different for KM. She works for RD and he has given her the reins but he calls the shots ultimately. That doesn't make her a puppet in my view, merely an employee who he trusts to do the job
