Absolutely devastated to here this.
I played for him for a good few years along with Mark & Deano his two oldest boys.
He was a top top fella and one of the funniest men I have ever met. We had some great times and laughs.
Thx for the holiday at your gaff in lanzarote I will miss you and that wicked sense of humour.
My love goes out to all of your family at this awful time.

Charlton are extremely saddened to report that Bob Snow, the club’s popular Player Liaison Officer, passed away overnight at the age of 79.
He was in hospital in the presence of family at the time of his passing, following a short illness.
An enthusiastic character, Bob began working at the club in 2001 and was a friendly face to players, staff and management at The Valley and the training ground.
Charlton’s players will wear black armbands to mark his passing during the home game against Norwich City on Tuesday, February 10th (7.45pm) and a period of applause will be held before kick-off.

To All Fans,
Last night, Charlton Athletic lost their "Guy".
What I mean is, every club has their Guy or Lady. The person that works behind the scenes, (sometimes without getting the recognition they deserve) and symbolises what your club is about.
Our Guy was Bob Snow.
"Snowy" to everyone associated at the club.
He was a person that, if you heard of him but hadn't met him, you would go out of you're way to introduce yourself.
Everyone needs to know who Snowy.
In the past, people used to think he was The Chairman of the club (those that knew him know why ).
Mainly based at the training ground, he was the person that would interrogate you on arrival at reception (in fun, well sometimes) the car park traffic warden and always ferrying between the Training Ground & The Valley in "The Snow Mobile", but Snowy was mostly known as the meet and greet person.
Players/Staff past and present, Mr Charlton was was you're man.
Chauffeur service, hotels/accommodation, furniture and accessories, MOT, Services, New Tyres, a Dog-sitter & Baby-sitter (the latter two for me7 -

Truly devastated. I knew him well and he has done a lot for me especially driving me to some away games so I could have a good drink. The bad bit about that was he used to turn around to talk to me even when he was doing 80 down a motorway!!!
He really was what people are saying about him and he always had a smile on his face.
You will be truly missed

I've know Bob for the past 3 and a bit years since Alfie has been at the academy. As already said Bob was the man to go to. On many occasions when the parents were waiting in the warm while the boys were training if the tea,coffee or milk ran out Bob would always sort it out! If the older age groups were making to much noise while waiting to go to an away game he would come in and tell them to button it! Lol
But for the past year and a half though since we had Charlie,Bob would always go out his way to make sure my family were ok and he would always talk CAFC to Charlie which was always nice of him!

I didn't know a lot about this gentleman, but seeing the outpouring of grief and emotion from him passing has been incredible, he touched so many. RIP Bob Snow.1

I didn't know Bob but used to see him every week in the ML and always seemed like a character and genuinely nice guy who the staff and players had a lot of time for. That says a lot. RIP Bob.0

Never met him but judging by the reactions of so many players and club employees, many of whom left the club many years ago, it sounds like CAFC has lost someone truly special. RIP.2
