I live in selsdon for my sins, palarse heartland, neighbours are palace fans,my stepson is and my business partner is. Fuck My Life. The football gods have been shitting on me for the last year.

I lived in South Norwood for a few years until just after they won the cup, I was hoping they're luck would change.

Too many teams in the Champions league. Years ago Atheltico Madrid, Lazio etc would be in the UEFA cup. As ever money and greed over anything else.

Good luck to Palarse. I hope they win (gulp).
what possible reason could you have to want them to win?
I always want an English club to win in Europe whether I like the club or not. I even want Arsenal to win.
You want a local rival to win another trophy, which will then put them into a major European trophy, and further grow their fanbase to the detriment of ours? This may sound rude, but I think you might be a moron.
    I’ve been called worse 🥸
    Congratulations Palace 🏆

Ah yes, the Henderson hand ball. Palace have surely used up every bit of football luck going.

They've had nothing but good luck since they went into admin.

as bad as this is , it would be a million times worse if the scum, who are our only real local rivals rather than this geek show crew from Croydon, had any real form of success .

  • Is this really a major trophy, it didn't exist a few years ago.... Doesn't count
Europe's Papa John's trophy, for sure.

Like not getting a 20 point deduction instead of 10 when Jordan took them into administration for the second time. Can't change it but they are now becoming very irritating

All I will say is that is that it will mean something to most of the old school Palace fans, I know a few that are my mates.

The entitlement of Arsenal fans knows no bounds and most of them know nothing of football outside of the PL and their team.

That is all I have on a positive note as this is a terrible night in my footballing life!

I believe someone on here made a list of all the luck they have had.

Glasner has done an unbelievable job. The fact is, though, that they won just 21 games out of 60 in all competitions and only Spurs and Forest, outside the relegation zone, finished below them. Their recruitment from the perspective of the next manager and on the pitch will still have to be decent.

Three years ago West Ham won the same competition, sacked Moyes at the end of the following season when they were 9th, they then finished 14th and 19th with three different managers at the helm. Here's hoping history repeats itself. But sooner.

I've concluded Palace winning this tournament has only further devalued it.

I hadn't realised how much I enjoyed the Partick Thistle V St Mirren play off  - until I watched that.  :(

Much preferred to last year’s FA cup final. I didn’t watch tonight. Last year was awful.

Have they been lucky at key moments over the last 15 years or so? Probably / definitely.

We have had very little luck since we relegated them. Maybe we had that coming…

We will doubtless also need luck to progress. May or may not happen. Won’t change who I support.

I expend a lot of energy worrying on local ‘rivals’ performances, over and above the stress of our own.

Firstly, I don’t think many Palace fans care at all about Charlton nowadays. Many (most?) Millwall the same, although they go to lengths to be clear how irrelevant we are.

My wife pointed out to me earlier this season that I should focus on the team I love and not the ones I don’t.

    That was good advice

Rayo are fucking dreadful. Lack of skill and composure and weak as piss in the challenge
The whole competition has been weak!
I’ve been amazed how poor the teams really are, I appreciate that these aren’t ’the best in their countries’ but it’s really the dregs of Europe who seem to get into it.
Its good in theory for weaker countries. A couple of League Of Ireland clubs made it in recently which was no bad thing as it does bring money into Irish club football which it badly needs but having vastly wealthy English clubs in it, does seem kinda self defeating

The other problem is that the CL has become so bloated with teams, the Europa League is a fraction of what it used to be too. Hasn't the same level.of quality as it did a few years back

Considering that Palace were founded by King Alfred, hence the burnt buns. It took the wankers long enough to win anything of note.
    Wankers! The lot of them!

The chances are that a PL team will win the Europa Conference more often than not in the future, just down to their spending power compared to foreign rivals in the competition.
