You don't slag off our players but Jordan's not good enough for championship.yet Poyet had two loan spells to Huddersfield and Mk and can only make bench.you ought to be a judge on exfactor or something. His the closest thing we've had to Scott Parker. Or was he not championship quality. Jordan will play in the premiership mate I am sure.

The only way he will ever play in the Premier League is if we somehow get promoted while he is still with us. Far too lacking technically to play at the top level. Touch and passing are very average at best and as a result, he constantly costs us possession.

Not slagging the guy off and I'd rather we have him than not, but I don't believe he's anywhere near as good as some of our fans think. I doubt fans of opposition clubs have him down as a stand-out player, either.

Spot on @I_Saw_Semedo_Score I think we have a number of fans who've never played the game before nor watched it much (those that groan every time we don't pass forward) so they see an energetic youngster who runs around a lot and give 100% which there's no denying Jordan does, and assume it makes you a gifted footballer.

We've come round in a big circle to my first post when I started this thread.

Thank you Jordan for all that have done for our Club and for always giving everything you had in often intolerable circumstances for a developing young player.

Much as I would love you to stay at Charlton I fully appreciate that for the good of your career you need to leave the Belgian Madhouse that our Club has become.

You are a good enough to play in the Championship at the very least and, looking at Drinkwater of Leicester for example, beyond.

Thanks again. You, Chris Solly and your mucker Harriott are the players I will miss next season even though others who will also leave maybe more highly rated.

So we need to buy another player in order to make Cousins effective?

Good players make that impact with their own ability more often than not. Until Cousins starts doing that he will be the epitome of plain average.

    Cousins 'plain average'? Give over.

He is average. He has an incredible engine and always gives 100%, not doubting that. But what does he actually provide in a football sense? Up until the QPR game I think he only had 1 goal and zero assists to his name for the season.

He is an academy product which gives him a lot of leeway with fans.

The fact that he has won Player of The Year two years running is a major indication of the reduction in quality our squad has had during the RD era.

In comparison to other players he's had an alright season really, a 6 out of 10 playing with a bunch of 4's and 5. His engine is his biggest asset without a doubt, technically not mind-blowing but he'll be applauded a lot by the QPR fans next season without a doubt.

Replaceable yes, but replaceable under a regime in League ONE that thought Piotr Parzesek (or however it's spelt) was an upgrade for Yann Kermorgant? I'll let you all make your minds up for that one.

Can't believe some of you he is class we don't deserve him. Gives it all

Same people that were saying Jacksons legs were gone last year
Same people who see Cousins as the answer to our prayers in midfield are the same people that rated Thierry Racon..
Nope you're wrong, I liked Racon, I don't particularly rate Cousins.

And now i've seen the date of this post LOL

He'll get better, but at the moment he's a good Championship CM in my opinion - even if he had a spell in the season where he sank to our level.

Jordan has tackling, energy and a good footballing brain. He's surprisingly strong and quick too.

His passing is what lets him down but if they can get that sorted he'd be a real asset to anyone in the Championship or even a lower / mid premier league table club

Harriott apparently taken it out of hit too. Although I'm not certain he ever had it in there in the first place.

Wow, just gone to check Jordan Cousins Twitter only to find that he has blocked the Charlton Life Twitter account from viewing his tweets.

That really disappoints me. I / we have always been big supporters of Jordan since day 1 and anyone who follows the CharltonLife account would know I never post anything negative let alone abusive about players. Only time I would have included his handle in any posts would be to say congrats on winning Statbank stuff.

    Sad.

Hear about this stuff quite often with players. People editing their Instagram photos, Twitter bios etc when they have the hump.

Modern football in 2016 everyone. How f'in sad!

I wish he would take advice from a fashion expert. He always looks like he's got dressed in the dark.

Very disappointing AFKA. One of the least offensive Charlton accounts on there.

Naby Sarr's still got Charlton on his.

I know someone who told me they asked him to do a picture with their son at an away game, about 2 hours before kick off. He just gave them a blank look and walked away.

If he wasn't an academy product he would be getting pelters for things like that plus all this social media nonsense. Academy product yes, but not proper Charlton.

That's bad. Not like he was late for the game. Really pisses me off when you hear of people approaching players and they refuse and autograph or pose for a photo. This is Jordan Cousins were talking about, not an A list celebrity.

We are all allowed an off day. I have seen Jordan pose with plenty of kids in various pictures.

Give over - bloke runs himself into the ground every bloody game.

I would put saying 'not proper Charlton (insert other Football team here)' alongside 'does not show passion' as classic nonsense football fans tend to say. No wonder players like JBG and Buyens never seem to be liked by our fans even though their stats prove they were among our best players.
  • Shame that his passing often loses possession for the team, though.

Not proper Charlton? I think if you are basing that on blanking a request for a photo then it's pretty harsh. As others have said he is one of the more approachable players off the field and is often involved in talking to kids at coaching camps in the Summer etc.

Has played consistently for the last three seasons and even when clearly injured or unfit. Will play where he's asked and is not affected by the off field stuff. Did pre season training last year before the rest of the squad returned. Gives his all every single game and is genuinely hurt by what has happened to the club he has spent ten years at.

    Proper Charlton? Pretty much.
