  • I think I need to drink what your drinking mate.
  • See my point further back, Cousins contributes nothing at either box.
  • Stop drinking that stuff mate seriously your embarrassing yourself.

    How...?

He's played at Right-Back this season against Hull City, means that he had to do a lot of Defensive work in his own box... He's scored a cracking goal against Wigan in the past, and won us a point against Fulham this season which was in the opposition box.

  • @ForeverAddickted I rate him at right back mate go back on this thread you'll see that. CM he offers nothing at either end, love his endeavor but no ability.

@Showmetheway2gohome think you mean *you're, and you're embarrassing yourself mentioning prem and Cousins in the same post.
  • Yet whatever just knock another one back then.
  • An interesting thread. Cousins is still a kid yet he is now a hardened veteran in the Charlton side. He has become the engine room (and as he is alongside Jackson who understandably tires in the last 30) has to run the hard yards every game. No question about his fitness levels but perhaps his development as an all round player has suffered. When he first broke into the first team what struck me most was his maturity and the ability to appear to have time on the ball. That ability seems to have been diminished by his need to cover miles of pitch every game. The result is poor distribution and risky tackles. In a club with a decent sized squad a rest might be the answer but no chance at Charlton. Christmas programme is looming and the engine will just have to keep running till he drops.
  • So we need to buy another player in order to make Cousins effective?

Good players make that impact with their own ability more often than not. Until Cousins starts doing that he will be the epitome of plain average.

You don't slag off our players but Jordan's not good enough for championship.yet Poyet had two loan spells to Huddersfield and Mk and can only make bench.you ought to be a judge on exfactor or something. His the closest thing we've had to Scott Parker. Or was he not championship quality. Jordan will play in the premiership mate I am sure.

The only way he will ever play in the Premier League is if we somehow get promoted while he is still with us. Far too lacking technically to play at the top level. Touch and passing are very average at best and as a result, he constantly costs us possession.

Not slagging the guy off and I'd rather we have him than not, but I don't believe he's anywhere near as good as some of our fans think. I doubt fans of opposition clubs have him down as a stand-out player, either.
  • Spot on @I_Saw_Semedo_Score I think we have a number of fans who've never played the game before nor watched it much (those that groan every time we don't pass forward) so they see an energetic youngster who runs around a lot and give 100% which there's no denying Jordan does, and assume it makes you a gifted footballer.

    Cousins 'plain average'? Give over.
  • In comparison to other players he's had an alright season really, a 6 out of 10 playing with a bunch of 4's and 5. His engine is his biggest asset without a doubt, technically not mind-blowing but he'll be applauded a lot by the QPR fans next season without a doubt.

Replaceable yes, but replaceable under a regime in League ONE that thought Piotr Parzesek (or however it's spelt) was an upgrade for Yann Kermorgant? I'll let you all make your minds up for that one.
  • Can't believe some of you he is class we don't deserve him. Gives it all

Same people that were saying Jacksons legs were gone last year
Same people who see Cousins as the answer to our prayers in midfield are the same people that rated Thierry Racon..
Nope you're wrong, I liked Racon, I don't particularly rate Cousins.

And now i've seen the date of this post LOL
  • He'll get better, but at the moment he's a good Championship CM in my opinion - even if he had a spell in the season where he sank to our level.
  • Jordan has tackling, energy and a good footballing brain. He's surprisingly strong and quick too.

His passing is what lets him down but if they can get that sorted he'd be a real asset to anyone in the Championship or even a lower / mid premier league table club
  • Jordan off? He has taken 'Charlton Player' out of his Bio on Twitter https://twitter.com/jordancousins94?lang=en-gb

  • Decent Champ player. Could be handy at somewhere like Birmingham.
  • Harriott apparently taken it out of hit too. Although I'm not certain he ever had it in there in the first place.
  • Hear about this stuff quite often with players. People editing their Instagram photos, Twitter bios etc when they have the hump.

Modern football in 2016 everyone. How f'in sad!
  • Wow, just gone to check Jordan Cousins Twitter only to find that he has blocked the Charlton Life Twitter account from viewing his tweets.

That really disappoints me. I / we have always been big supporters of Jordan since day 1 and anyone who follows the CharltonLife account would know I never post anything negative let alone abusive about players. Only time I would have included his handle in any posts would be to say congrats on winning Statbank stuff.

    Sad.

Very sad, wouldn't have expected that
  • Taking advice from his Agent maybe?
  • Taking advice from his Agent maybe?

I wish he would take advice from a fashion expert. He always looks like he's got dressed in the dark.
  • Very disappointing AFKA. One of the least offensive Charlton accounts on there.

Naby Sarr's still got Charlton on his.
  • I know someone who told me they asked him to do a picture with their son at an away game, about 2 hours before kick off. He just gave them a blank look and walked away.

If he wasn't an academy product he would be getting pelters for things like that plus all this social media nonsense. Academy product yes, but not proper Charlton.
