For some reason I felt really sad hearing this. I loved the old Star Trek episodes even though some of them were like the Wild West in Space, but they had some storylines and an optimism and vision that appealed to stupid old me. I can't help feeling old Spock is still out there somewhere ( not just Channel CBS Drama) which as the man himself would say is "Illogical" but thanks Leonard Nimoy for your character with the daft eyebrows and funny ears, and the awkward moments you showed emotion, I loved it :-) RIP
Never met him, but felt like I knew him. If you watch the extras on the new Star Trek movies DVDs then you can see just how much he was loved and respected by the cast, especially Zachary Quinto. Felt the same when Patrick Moore passed away. He and his wife also sponsored the redevelopment of the Griffith Observatory in LA, I have a DVD narrated by him about the Observatory. RIP.
