Amazing win, amazing feeling. Drab first half. Lepoint...how can you be that tall yet so ineffective in the air? I would have been very happy with a point so to get all 3...unbelievable. Did anyone get a picture of Watt standing on that podium? Would love to see that.
Was at the game. Poor first half - both sides. Cardiff could have been two up but their final ball was dreadful. Seemed like a mid table end of season game.
Second half Cardiff started brighter, scored then we came into it. Eagles came on and we looked more dangerous. Watt ran his socks off and deserved his goal. Surprised Church came on but he won the pen. It looked like a foul but would want to see it again.
All the players came over at the end followed by Guy Luzon who got a good reception. He loved that win!!!
On Goals express, Fox tries to let the cross go out for corner and Jones keeps in with foot to Macheda who slots home into the roof of the net. Our first was a sweet pass from Johnson to pick out Watt who slots left footed into corner of the net. Church gets done by their defender and Buyens Penalty is as sweet as you like to the keepers left. Beautiful.
A few that were there have mentioned it wasn't as good as the last few games, but I felt we deserved to beat them when we played them Boxing Day so will take that
Let's give the players credit too. They've , as Henderson said, "bought into" the manager's ideas and have worked their balls off for the last 6.5 games

Apart from winning, playing good football and bringing in decent new players, that's all I have been asking him to do.
Unbelievable result. Well done Luzon and the boys. Great point in the season to hit a bit of form and will set us up well if we maintain it for the summer and could be a good next season to push on.
Fantastic day, awful first half, slightly better second half, and exciting finish! First time I have seen the team live this season, very impressed with back four, especially Johnson. Midfield was a bit in and out, Cousins was busy, Buyens control was a bit off. Lepoint was dreadful, seemed totally off the pace, but Watt looked very useful. Team looked much more dangerous when Eagles on for lepoint. Spoke to Katrien at the railway station, on the way home, she was very approachable and totally charming. My 14 year old is smitten
At long last our Wins outnumber our Losses. It's been a while since that was the case. Let's hope that our 'Goals for' can outnumber 'Goals against' soon. I cannot recall such a remarkable turn-about in fortunes in 30+ years of following CAFC. Mr Luzon has made a positive contribution and should be applauded, as should his rejuvenated squad.

Q. What has Guy Luzon ever done for us ? A.won matches.
Q Besides winning matches and playing sexy football? A.will play 2 strikers together when fit.
Q. Ok Winning matches, sexy football, playing 2 strikers. A. Plays players in right positions unless he has no choice.
Q.Sure, winning matches, sexy football, plays two strikers, players in right position. A.will hook players off when they can't perform, Wilson, Harriott or lepoint. even at H/t when we are leading.
Q.I concede he wins, sexy, 2 strikers,in right positions, hook bad guy off. A. can win ugly, making players and fans smile, and gives praise to the players and says he only advises.
Q.So other than Winning Matches, playing Beautiful football, two strikers in tandem, players in right position, hook bad players off, can win ugly, makes players and fans smile, and gives praise to the players not himself. What has Guy Luzon done for us ?
Luzon's starting eleven was very odd. Lepoint seemed to be tasked with getting forward to support Watt, a role he is clearly in no way fit for. He lumbered around the pitch, fouling all and sundry, not once winning a header or offering any form of support to Watt. It was noticeable how much better Watt became once we brought on someone to play up front with him; however brilliant an individualist he is, he needs a strike partner to be at his most effective. Luzon deserves credit for doing that, but you have to ask why we started 4-5-1 against a distinctly average Cardiff side.
The first half was awful, and I don't think either side managed a shot on target during it. The second half was better, and it was perversely a good thing that we went behind, as it forced us to chase a game we had seemingly been happy to draw. Dmitrovic didn't exude half the confidence with crosses that Henderson does, and I hope his knock isn't too serious. Macheda made the most of this defensive uncertainty to put Cardiff ahead, at which point we brought on Eagles for Lepoint. Immediately we began to cause more problems for the Cardiff backline. Church then replaced the ineffective Bulot, and a minute later Johnson pulled the ball back for Watt to stroke home in the box.
Now we sensed this game was for the taking. Church received the ball in the box with his back to goal and as he attempted to spin away from his marker was upended for what looked from my vantage point to be a clear penalty. Buyens had a poor game overall but you can't knock his penalties, which are always taken with an almost impudent coolness. Thereafter we were seldom threatened as the defence stood firm.
One misplaced header aside I was impressed by Gomez, and Johnson looked solid. Fox mostly did well too, and we never have to worry about Solly. JBG had one of his quieter games, as did Bulot, whilst Cousins and Buyens just about did enough to thwart Whittingham's threat. Watt was unplayable in the second half, partly because Church and Eagles helped take defenders' attention away from him. He's clearly a natural showman, but crucially has the ability to justify it.
Overall it wasn't the greatest performance, but it is an impressive comeback win nonetheless. And the fans were excellent, singing throughout the game.

In all seriousness another great win. I haven't felt this positive going into games since the L1 winning season.
Let's hope that our 'Goals for' can outnumber 'Goals against' soon.
