Cardiff Stewards

Was it just me they had a love in for or where they ridiculously polite and helpful to everyone else. When I walked through the turnstiles one was telling me where the toilets, food outlets, bookies etc was. Then when I went to my seat they telling me where I could stand. At half time one was walking round asking if everything was ok to everyone. Even as we were leaving they were saying bye to everyone.

Well done to Cardiff refreshing to see decent stewards rather then some of the typical twats you see at other grounds and the Valley.

That's all part of the customer satisfaction you get, along with the 3 pts.

I went to Tottenham a few years back. I thought the stewards went above bad beyond the call of duty.

Yes they were good. As there was space it was sensible to allow free seating, allowing the lads to stand together and the sitters to er sit together!

The stewards were good the last time we went there to. Ninian Park had a reputation which they have worked hard on to overcome at the new ground. Cardiff is a great day out.

They were excellent and helpful, and I thought pretty genuine, just wished their accents had been more broad, but you have to go deeper into Wales for that.

Gave my son one of the shirts.. Had his photo done with the catering steam so they could put it on Twitter. All stewards wished us a safe journey home. That's how you treat fans regardless if they are home or away.

Didn't they have our highlights of 2013/14 on in the concourse as well? Not quite sure whether that's nasty or nice though.

Blimey, this a first! Well done to Cardiff... suppose it's too much to expect the same from other clubs. Had a similar experience some years ago when we took a coach of Junior Reds to Blackburn. Copper got on the coach after we parked in a pub car park - which had been designated for away fans - offered to take some of the kids to stand behind the goal instead of in the stands with us parents. Even escorted them back afterwards! And how did we repay this kindness....? Beat them 2-1, just remember Leaburn scored. It's the season Rovers were promoted but on the day we played them off the park!

They changed the wheel of an Addick who had a slow puncture last season during the game.

The Spurs cup match I got threatened with being thrown out by a steward for abusing Defoe. Didn't even swear , even the Spurs fans next to us told him to wind his neck in.

It's against ground regulations and an arrestable offence to attempt to enter a ground when drunk or to get drunk once inside.
So the stewards did them a favour

Its outrageous. People getting drunk on away days and then going to the game as if they are not breaking the law. I for one have never been drunk in a stadium and am totally opposed alcohol being served in any ground. Its about time we as supporters stood up to these 'fans' and lined up shoulder to shoulder with these heroic stewards.

Lol, my point being, it could have ended up far worse for them if the stewards had been arsey and not took the go and get a coffee line, some jobsworths could have called the OB over and had them nicked.

AND they could have puked up over Seth Plum during the match !

It doesn't take much to make our dear friend feel nauseous himself these days.....

( Love you Seth )
