    Rodney Green Grimsby via Gillingham?

Came from Grimsby and went to Luton Town. "Vias" are not allowed - they have to go back to the club they came from straight from Charlton.

Danny Green came from Dag & Red and went to MK Dons.
Danny Hollands came from Bournemouth and went to Portsmouth

And just to get all the Dannys out of the way, Danny Mills came from Norwich and went to Leeds, Danny Murphy from Liverpool to Spurs, Danny Haynes from Barnsley to Notts County and Danny Warden from Arsenal to Bromley.

OK, a quick clue as the last two are tough. They both came from/went back to foreign clubs.

Was Ikast, however Hbidore were - "the club with whom we have links" - as mentioned many a time in the programme. Oostergaard does have the distinction of appearing on Match of the Day in a Charlton shirt in 1980 however in a brief cameo - the same night the nation discovered who shot JR!

I remember them both joining , don t have any memory of Ikast @ all , however I do recall a friendly that I think was agst Hvidovre and I ended up having to "bunk out" over the Sam Bartram gates.....I quite liked Oestergarrd - to me then he was a strong runner with a decent shot.....

    Does Jason Euell count?
He came from Wimbledon originally, but didn't he go to AFC Wimbledon after his second spell with us?

Maybe the rules aren't clear enough.....thw player has to be transferred from Club X to Charlton and then from Charlton back to Club X.
    I don't understand

The order of events are: the player is transferred from Club X to Charlton, then plays for the Charlton 1st team. After a period of time, he is transferred from Charlton to Club X.

For the purposes of this contract, "Charlton" refers to the football generally known as Charlton Athletic Football Club, a professional football team which plays at The Valley, Charlton, London SE7.

"Club X" refers to any football club on the planet. Specifically, it does not include clubs which play Australian Rules football or American Football.

The term "transfer" means that a club has registered the player and is not what is often referred to as a loan signing.

    2. Peter Shirtliff (Sheffield Wednesday)
    3. Jimmy Giles (Exeter City)
    4. Derek Woodley (Southend United)
    5. Johnny Ostergaard (Ikast)
