I have just walked through my place of work and seen that a framed, signed Millwall shirt has appeared on the wall. This is not a good omen. Given my position at work I can't even vandalise it.

Poor you , you work with some right *****

I think that the fact that it is away will suit us. As long as our key players are fit – Diarra has to be chosen ahead of JJ, I think we will win this. If we get a first half opener, I could see it being a walk in the park. If they get the first, I can see us fighting back for a 2-1. We are a better side than them and Luzon is indicating we will go for the throat, so I expect our superiority will be evident to a greater extent than if we were a bit cautious.

    Works for me
  • We should be more than capable of winning this time and yet I can't see beyond a high scoring draw
    3-3

Uboat, please move your position nearer to the shirt and make it disappear.

Love all 'this is definitely our year' comments. It isn't. Home win.

It happens every season, some just never ever learn their lesson.

The weird thing is I don't think there's a single Millwall fan in the place, which is a school in Herts, but a Millwall player was a student here and donated it. I saw it coming because I was signing cheques the other day and noticed the one for the framing.

    Oh it's a school?

Probably an exhibit for some sort of class on anti-social behaviour for the thick kids...

Question, when was the last time that this game was played with such an in form Charlton team and such an out of form Millwall team? I know 2012/13 we were very good and they were pretty shite, but right now I beleive we are top of the form table and they are bottom, I'm not sure if this has happened recently

    It. Does. Not. Matter...

It's the hope that kills you lads, do not fall into the trap.

As usual, we won't have enough fight to beat them and as we are live on telly (Ok, a beamback) a draw would be a good result for us.

Not Mick Russell. He was the ref on boxing day. We've probably lost now. On boxing day Vincent Tan bribed that ref.

He got one decision right that day.
The sending off of Harriott, mainly because of a terrible first touch.

The second half was one of our better performances before the 3-0's came along.

With 9000 Millwall fans sway the Ref ?

    I think so as well.

I'm actually pleased Mr Luzon is in charge for this one. He's an offensive manager who wants us to score. All the previous manager's have had an idea about the rivalry with this game, Powell, Peeters, Parky etc. It's going to be tough because I think Harris will have them fighting and playing for the shirt, their games are running out. I can't call it. Our record is abysmal, so I just want us to have a go. I believe we have better players than them going forward, so let's just take the game to them.

2-0 to us. The natives lose it and start to eat the seats they're sitting in. Cocaine sprinkles the air in the melee and it will be like that win in the snow in 95......
  • Everyone feels the pressure and a draw 0-0 or 1-1 is the likely result. Would love a win but come on this is Millwall. if we had Messi and Ibrahimovic up front we'd be lucky to score from an off-side position or a dodgy penalty.

    Please Watt, do em!!

It doesn't matter which set of fans want it more, but which set of players.

Millwall have their backs to the wall (sic) and absolutely must win, their players will, at home especially, risk the broken limb or the claret, but will ours when a cruise to the summer beckons?

There is also an enormous variable in an easily influenced referee, and a lot of our players not experienced in this fixture.

To me it is crucial that our payers keep a cool head. It is going to be difficult because I believe we will be disrupted by the absence of TBH and Gomez and Buyens. Anticipating what to expect from the fixture, and good preparation is going to matter on Friday, and the more potentially volatile players we have, need to get even by outplaying their opponent, and not trying to outmuscle them and descending into attritional football. It is also worth reminding our players that row Z is better than a hesitant mistake, even if it ain't pretty

Then of course there is the surreal history of this fixture to contend with as an almost ethereal factor.

If we keep eleven players on the pitch we ought not to lose this time.

We will lose 1-0 to a lucky goal but Millwall will still go down.

So long as I don't get verbally threatened (again) by some 50 year old when leaving the stadium I'll take a draw and so long as Watt and Vetokele are playing with Gomez Johnson solly fox then this could be a very good win. Can't wait. Can't we all be a bit more positive in spite of expectation?

A score draw written all over it for me, but as many have hoped, could this be our moment? Who is the penalty taker in Buyens' absence as I sense their nervous defence will give one away? Tony W W W?
  • Going to have to go on form. Millwall losing regularly and Charlton since Luzon only really seem to score in multiples of 3. Therefore 6-0 Charlton. Nicky Bailey missing a consolation pen in the last minute in front of the away end. Locked in after the game for 58 minutes, could the last one out switch the lights off.

Oh, and for good measure we will poach their best youngsters when they are relegated.
  • I don't care if we lose as long as we do not freeze like we did earlier in the season against them.

I want to see us play with no fear against them like we have done in the recent past.

We must have strong leadership on the field, and CS doesn't offer this IMO.

I would like to see Jacko start and get us through the first 75 mins, taking our attacking game to them - then whatever the situation, park the bus for the last 15 - because:

We don't want to give away a lead
    We don't mind a draw
We don't want a repeat of that 4-0 game.
