I cant see why we cant put ourselves out a bit for a small club who it wont hurt us to be friendly with. Of course, we will beat them and spoil their day, but if the boot was on the other foot.......

Guess this Saturdays round of fixtures will determine whether our match is chosen for Sky next week... as they'll surely pick between Bournemouth / 'Boro / Watford

So now they're giving my parking space to the TV OB trucks and I'll have to park in North Woolwich and get the Ferry over?

Its sad that fans cannot put up with a minor inconvenience of moving seats for one match to help fellow fans see the most important game in their history. If roles were reversed how would we feel. Well done the club

If it was Millwall or Palace i'd be livid, but Bounemouth - no problem with them. I wish I was being moved, would have a good nosh up on the day too then. It will also add to the atmosphere and make it a more enjoyable event for us too.

One question. How many of those on here calling it a "minor inconvenience" are actually those being moved? Or is it all "NIMBY"?

As with a lot from this regime, which I support, it could have been handled better. PR is a much maligned business but when it's done effectively customers / fans feel valued, when not it creates discontent. KM needs to understand this and work on improving how the fans are communicated to and made to feel valued.

I think the vouchers are on the generous side. Should buy a burger, chips and a couple of pints.

But if I read this right people will have to go and collect them on the day, which seems a tad inconvenient.

Yes, but they do collect them from the Valley and not Westminster Abbey

Bournemouth have been in the top 4 for the last couple of months so the club should have been aware that there would be a heavy demand for tickets from away fans.

Why didn't they contact the fans affected to garner their views and opinions before making this decision? They are currently contacting fans about moving their seats so they can't say that it couldn't have been done.

Yes that's right. I got my match ticket and a note telling me to go to North Stand Reception to pick up my vouchers.

You are absolutely right, but with a bit of planning they could have posted them out first class, early last week or they could be available for pick up from the Valley between now and next Saturday.

Just make it convenient for fans who have been inconvenienced.

They don't want you to use them, they are just a bribe to clear their conscience on selling out their own fans.

Are they going to put a piranha filled pool in front of the collection desk? What is the point of a bribe that you dont want people to use?

Hardly that inconvenient, you get them from the north stand ticket office, not 5 miles away.

If they've been working on this since Bournemouth sold their initial allocation (6 April), whats the point of making you collect them when they're already posting those affected their match tickets.

    So.
Do the vouchers cover vegetarian food?
    Worried about precedent.

I won't be claiming them, in fact I won't be going to the match and also having thoughts about giving up supporting them.

    Are you effing serious mate?

The overreaction on here is incredible and that just tops the whinging pile, congratulations!

    Yes I am.

Supported the club for 47 years, that loyalty just gets tossed in the bin so the club can make a few pieces of silver.

    Have you lost your seat?
  • Did Bournemouth sell the extra tickets ?

They're doing it to allow a few more Bournemouth supporters to be there on what might be the greatest day in their history, as we would other clubs would do if the situation was reversed, not to make money

    Ha ha ha. Priceless.

I'm not supporting Charlton anymore, because I have to sit in a different seat for one game, so that another (friendly) club's supporters, can attend possibly the biggest game in their club's history.

Well done everyone, top stuff. Correct Covered End, well summed up.

Wait until they let more of the ground to away fans, see who moans then.

I'm having a whinge, no different to everyone else on here who whinge about the kit, the manager, the directors, the catering, the admin, the ticketing, the pitch, the stewards etc etc.

None of this explains why they don't just send out the vouchers with the match tickets and why season ticket holders will now have to queue up to get the vouchers. Just seems odd. Unless, of course, they don't want to make it too easy for people to actually use the vouchers. What other reason is there?

You think that would be the obvious thing to do but things are done differently at Charlton.
