First and so far only team to be so average enough to secure championship status. Just look at us under team overview tab.

  • This is brilliant
  • Is there a wiki award for that? :smirk:
  • Simply based on points, yes.
But if you take into account that teams have to play each other so teams below can't both gain maximum points you can add a few more teams to that list

No, it's actually possible for all the teams from Cardiff down to Millwall to catch Sheff Wed, so the Wendies can actually be relegated.

They won't, of course, but it is possible.

It will be the same on the other side - Blackburn and/or Forest can still finish in the playoffs if results go their way.

have you looked at the fixtures, I think with the games for the other teams Wednesday are safe
  • Work it out.

    Wednesday lose all their game.
Millwall win all their remaining games.
Rotherham win all their remaining games (except if they play Millwall).
Fulham win all their remaining games (except if they play Millwall or Rotherham)
    etc

If Wednesday finish in the bottom three after all that working out, they aren't mathematically safe.

I didn't change any goal differences.

So it is still possible that Wednesday are relegated but it requires a 24 goal swing over 11 games: their remaining five and Millwall's six.
  • Thanks Callum. I had worked that out. The only fixture that could affect it is Fulham v Rotherham but they can both catch Sheff Wed regardless of how that match finishes.

  • Looks like a classic 2nd Tier line up. None of those are out of place.

I'd got quite used to having the division all to ourselves, not sure I can go back to sharing now !
  • Can add Bristol City into the Championship for next season now.

Probably might have been nicer had I not been made to walk around the whole stadium to get to the away end

The bolded teams are all those who entered the Championship at the same time we did.

The other two teams are Wolves and Bolton and they both look likely to stay in the division, although Wolves have since spent a season in League 1. However it is interesting that the two teams that were promoted with us have managed to stay with us as well.

I think it's quite unusual for that to happen. Shows how strong the league 1 we dominated was.
