Kelly unable to agree terms with Reading.

    Too old.
He's 31. You think 31 is too old for a reserve right back?

Only thing that worries me about this rumour is the title of the twitter account, i.e. surely it should be @soccer_source?

Only thing that worries me about this is that the player is 27 and has played 29 games his whole career!

He's a defensive midfielder that can also play centre back (according to transfermarkt).....

That must be bollocks. 27 and only played a handful of games in his career.
If it isn't then our scout really is buying players via Championship Manager.

Im sure we will have another Iceland international signed by next week

  • Like the sound of Kelly but why the heck should he be playing a trial game with his career behind him.

He'd be a superb signing for us.

    Get him in quick.

I think we can rule out @soccer_sauce as a decent rumour "sauce" seeing as Siegfried is out of action for months due to injury according to his Facebook page.

Was going to say the same thing. He is decent at this level - never mind cover for Solly, he could provide genuine competition for his place.

You lot think this thread is annoying, try reading it whilst sitting in a fire engine down at operation stack. Been here all night long and really could do with a rumour or two just to alleviate the monotony.

Doesn't look like we'll be signing a striker. Don't mind KAG getting more chances but if Luzon rates him that highly why wasn't he more involved at the end of last season rather than Church?

Q: We saw a new front pairing of Makienok and Watt tonight. Are you getting closer to knowing what you front partnership will be?

GL: “No. This season we have four good strikers and we will rotate.

“The best will play each game. It may be different, it may be the same. But every striker has their character and quality. They are different types of strikers and I will take the decision.”

Agree on the striker front. It's the centre back and left wing situation that is rapidly becoming critical. Need a couple in today to have them ready for the last few friendlies (the CB will need to get game time alongside Bauer as it appears from last night that Diarra is not a champ centre back).

It's pre season , we've also seen him have plenty of good games in defence but I do agree we need a centre back and left mid soon but there is still two weeks untill qpr, so aslong as we've got them in before then, I'm confident we'll have 2-3 before the Bolton game.

If, as has recently been rumoured, we are signing AS Nancy defender Clement Lenglet then that's another CB sorted.

Rumours are that he is very very bloody good
