So would people rather him than someone like James Henry? Surely we need a left winger who can come straight into the starting line up and improve the team.
Don't think anyone's suggesting that Damo. Probably hoping to get him on board and develop his talent with the youngsters whilst pursuing Henry or similar for the first team squad. For what it's worth I thought hue did better against us in the friendly when he was probably more of an unknown quantity. Fox certainly looked after him on Tuesday but he never hid. Wouldn't say he's particularly quick but he's got good feet and uses the ball well for a young kid.
17 year olds forwards will have games when they are marked out of games, It has been the same for Karland at times who is also 17. It is slightly easier for talented defenders like Joe Gomez who are negating rather than creating.
Any chance whenever you play football you are an attacker?

Luzon said he wants an attacking midfielder and a Right back. Henry plays wing or attacking midfield so was/is that target. Stephen kelly was the RB who took a wrong turning and was last heard of on the M20 stuck between two lorries and having a kick about on the hard shoulder.
Apologies below is a post about Powell, move on if you don't wish to read it. See so much rubbish on the RUMOURS thread that I have finally had to post.
Chris Powell is a thoroughly nice bloke, he went out of his way to help a dieing child and their family at the awful time. This has no relevance to his status as a player or manager but shows he deserves to be treated in a manner that some seem incapable of.
As a player he was an iconic (England caps) legend for us and one of Curb's better buys.
As a manager he breathed life into a dieing club and dragged us back from the bowels of league one. Then the backing stopped and he was left searching the reject bin, for players only a team expected to struggle would want. We finished way above what was expected and I honestly feel he was doing all that could be asked of him.
The same happened the next summer and our squad weakened, he then lacked the experience that may have helped him keep us higher in the table. Then the takeover happened and despite what was said it was obvious there was anything good about the manager/owner relationship. Powell obviously didn't want the players given to him, like Nego and Thuram. Every coach other than Luzon has said RD wants to pick the team (hopefully he has learnt his lesson there) and that would have been a problem for any British manager.
Results didn't pick up and we went into that quarter final bottom, but with three games in hand. We were poor and a large part of the crowd turned on CP. Yet tweets coming out of people around him showed something catastrophic had happened prior to the game, but nobody really knows what the timeline was other than those involved. After the abject performance CP left and Riga revitalised the team. We steadily improved and climbed away from relegation, the way things were we probably going down under CP. So RD has been proved right can the CP haters now move on as those of us that like the bloke have.
Brad Jones might be a tad expensive, wages wise but if we could afford him it would be an excellent piece of business.
There is only one Dick Plumb and that is me, kindly change your username. It could cause all sorts of confusion.
How did that get through the Strict Vetting System and CRB Check ? There's enough EX players names to chose from. how about Eric Lancelotte who played 40 games for CAFC before and after the war ? He Only played Knight matches.
Jones will surely want at least a seasons deal you'd have thought so what happens when Hendo is fit? Pope or even Jones out on loan?
Brad Jones wont be let out on loan - too good for that and no point bringing him in. We all know that Henderson is proven.
Only leaves one guy as the odd one out. I know Luzon has said good things about Pope, but he is a good man manager and will be keen to boost his confidence. I have a funny feeling that he doesn't fancy him as a number 1.

Jodi would be one for the future.

Liverpool keeper Brad Jones set for Charlton move
Thursday, 13 August 2015 By Richard Cawley
CHARLTON are set to sign Liverpool goalkeeper Brad Jones on loan.
The 33-year-old Australian is training with the Addicks ahead of a proposed move to the South London club.
Charlton currently have first-choice Stephen Henderson working his way back from surgery to his left shoulder.
Jones had been understudy at Anfield to Simon Mignolet but the Merseysiders snapped up Adam Bogdan from Bolton in the summer.
The stopper has been capped four times by his country.
